Launch of EV-PP range

In line with the update of the product portfolio for
loop and section units of Consilium Marine & Safety,
we are now launching the new EV-PP dual smoke and
heat detector series.
The EV-PP is a new model range within the Evolution
series offering compatibility with below series of old
detectors. The unit is fully backwards compatible
and offers a new optical sensor with improved
performance.
Please note that the smoke detectors of the EV-
PP range are of optical type. This must be considered
when replacing detectors of ionization type, as the
surrounding environment (air flow, humidity etc.) may
make it necessary to move or protect the location of
the new detector. Also the contamination time can be
different compared to the old type of detector.
The EV-PP can be easily re-configured from
one model to another by a simple standard base, a
standard test tool SE3000+ and a PC with special
software (provided by Consilium Marine & Safety).
As the re-configuration is very simple, it is possible
to do in the field.
The EV-PP range can replace the following detectors
(below). Consequently, the replaced detectors will go
into a Last Time Buy process.

Launch of MCP-C (Conventional Manual Call Points)

A new range of conventional manual call point is
now introduced to the market. The MCP-C range
is compatible with the systems CS4000, C300,
C303,C308, C316 and Salwico Cargo, Salwico Cruise
and Salwico Ro/PAX.
They are of two different IP classes (IP24 and IP67) and
shall be delivered in the following versions compatible
with below listed series of old MCP units.
The replaced MCP Units will consequently go into a
Last Time Buy process

Important Notice!
MCP-A with SCI functionality can only be used at
fire alarm system with appropriate firmware (today
Salwico CS4000and Salwico Cargo, Salwico Cruise and
Salwico Ro/PAX. On all other fire detection systems
these units will only work as an ordinary manual call
point (as a LK-2).
For that reason Units Marked with * will in a future be
available as a spare part only.
The MCP-A exists in two different IP classes (IP23
and IP67) and the SCI-A in IP67 class. These shall be
delivered in the following versions compatible with
below listed series of old MCP and SCI units.

The MCP-A is cer tified according to EN54-11, EN54-17, the SCI-A is cer tified according to EN54-17.
MED and CPD is pending (Expected in April 2010).

Salwico Exhaust Emissions Monitoring System is now MED Certified

Salwico Exhaust Emissions Monitoring System has received a marine equipment directive 96/98/EC Examination
Certificate as on-board NOx monitoring and recording devices.

After Sales information regarding portable detectors from Draeger

The last couple of years Consilium have sold portable
detectors from Draeger to several new buildings in
mainly China. The main reason for this is to meet the
technical specification from customers. Consilium
is not marketing as a supplier of Draeger portable
detectors.
However, since we are the supplier of the equipment
to the shipyard, our responsibility runs during the
warranty time. Warranty only covers failure of the
portable detector but not recalibration.
When you receive warranty claims, replace the
product with a new and make sure to return the faulty
one to Consilium with a RMA number as soon as
possible.
When you receive inquiries for recalibration, refer
directly to a Draeger’s branch office

New Salwico CS3000 SPK Software version (SP3P_NFS v2.92)

PC wizard, that is going to make updates available for maintenance personal, is now officially released. PC Wizard
is released for upgrade of following firmware versions:
v1.0.20, v1.0.38, v1.0.39, v1.0.41, v1.1.0, v1.1.1, v1.1.2.

Extremely important!!
Use consequent version of the new firmware to one previously installed on a Base Board.
(Ex. BBP v.1.0.20 is only to be upgraded to BBP v.1.0.20, etc.)
