Need of Industry Print
IndustryPrint And Its Components
IndustryPrint models remain Deloitte’s prime content for jump-starting process modeling efforts. ARIS (Architecture of
Integrated Information Systems) is the market-leading business process modeling platform to deploy the content.

Library Models
Library models are reference models that are created to house project-wide functional requirements, transaction codes, business roles, and custom
development objects.
Library models contain the building block objects needed to create FADs. Thus, library models must be constructed before FADs can be created.

Functional Allocation Diagram
A Function allocation diagram is a model that links different parts of a business system design together,
usually with a function object such as a task. It serves as an integration point of design. It relates a task to key
design elements (found in library models), which include:
• Functional requirements
• Business role
• Transaction code
• Custom development object (report, interface, enhancement, form and workflow)
The purpose of the Function allocation diagram is to:
• Organize information related to a task in a standardized and structured way
• Provide a means to identify missing, required relationships
• Provide reporting capabilities around business role to transaction code mapping
• Breakdown the task for the end-user, so they know what user access is required, who is responsible for the
task, and what is required to perform the task

Functional Allocation Diagram
A FAD is usually associated with a task. A FAD is automatically created by IndustryPrint 5 for each task during process modeling and
stored in a separate folder (group). FADs are constructed from the information collected during the design workshops.
Rule: Only one FAD will be created per task.

L3:PE-090-040: Print Work Order and associated documents
The Subprocess Diagram, Level 3, is comprised of task objects and displays their relationship to one another.
A task is the lowest unit in the business process modeling hierarchy and consists of single definable piece of
work with a specific input and output. A task is performed by one person and can be manual or system
enabled
Symbols used:
Once the need for maintenance is recognized and confirmed, print or view the order after release along with all
relevant shop papers such as goods issue slips, time tickets, confirmation slips, etc.

L3:PE-090-050: Retrieve Kit / Materials
Once spare parts requirements have been established and approval for the commencement of the job has
been given, the maintenance order will be released. Inventory may than be issued for the maintenance order.
This process starts with finding material at unloading point, getting the material issued, contacting stores in
case of any issues.

In the event that follow up maintenance may be required, document each requirement. All parts may not have
been available at the time and may have to be replaced when another opportunity arises. Some parts may
have to be repaired and replaced.

L3:PE-090-100: Execute and Confirm Maintenance Order Completion
After all work is completed, confirm completion and state the duration, resources, and manpower utilized.
Capture any necessary information that may be valuable in future analysis or planning.
It starts with execution of work order, entering time confirmations, creating service entry sheets, approving the
service entry sheets, returning equipment and tools as needed, reviewing the confirmations.

Settlement rule on Work orders
The Function Allocation Diagram, or FAD, is unique because it can be created at different levels in the process
modeling hierarchy and contain various objects. The FAD is a matrix that connects a function object (such as a
process group, process, subprocess, or task) to other design objects (such as requirements or application
details).
It relates a task to key design elements, which include:
• Functional requirements
• Business role
• Transaction code
• Custom development object (report, interface, enhancement, form and workflow)

order.
It involves various tasks such as creation of measurement documents, setting work order status as technically
completed, closing purchasing requisitions, changing the work order status to close.
