Bass-Clarinet Model 3000

We have developed a new concept for this high-end bass clarinet, based on a German style
bore. The neck has been re-designed and its new scaling greatly influences the sound and
intonation of the instrument. The new register mechanism no longer requires a vent hole on
the neck, but features a flawless automatic keywork with a whisper key. The bottom joint
terminates in a metal bow which receives a wooden bell, turned upwards. The keywork has
been re-designed to eliminate excessive sizes, resulting in compact touch positions that are
in comfortable reach even for smaller hands. The basset mechanism is operated by
re-designed keys, keeping the leeway short to grant swift and accurate action for the
bottom range.

The positioning of holes follows those of our german model. The fingering is completely
french.

The instrument is sold including a mouthpiece, ligature, reed case, special backpack case by
B. Kösling, and a maintenance kit. A tuning revision after a certain period of playing-in is
included.
