Louis Walsh has just announced that One Direction is going to split
soon. The X Factor judge shocked fans when he said he thought the
band only had one more album to produce. ‘I think there’s one more
album and that’s it,’ the Irish music manager said. He said their success
is thanks to Simon Cowell. “They’ve had an amazing career. One
Direction happened Direction happened because of Simon,“ he said.
He continued: ‘Simon made it all happen. Nobody gives him the credit
for what he does, but he and Sony made it happen. He put them
together – with my help, and with Nicole Scherzinger because I wanted
to do a boy band.

Hello, my name is Peter and this is my house. My house is quite big. It has two floors, a ground floor and a
first floor. It has also an attic and a basement.
On the ground floor there is a hall, a kitchen, a living room, a big dining room and a bathroom. On the first
floor there are three bedrooms, one bathroom and a big corridor. My bedroom is between my parents’
bedroom and the bathroom. My sister‘s bedroom is in front of mine.
I love my bedroom, but I also like the attic. I keep some of my books and my old toys. I like to spend my time
there because it is very spacious and there is a big sofa there where I sometimes take a nap.
In the basement is where we keep the washing machine, the drying machine and old stuff.
At the back of the house there is also a garage, where my parents park the family car, and a lovely garden,
with many green spaces, flowers, two swings, and a small swimming pool. I love my house. It’s very
comfortable and cozy.

Hachiko, an Akita dog, was born in 1923 and brought to Tokyo in 1924. His owner,
Professor Eisaburo Uyeno and he were inseparable friends right from the start. Each
day Hachiko would accompany his owner, a professor at the Imperial University, to
Shibuya train station when he left for work. When he came back, the professor would
always find the dog patiently waiting for him. Sadly, the professor died suddenly at
work in 1925 before he could return home.
Although Hachiko was still a young dog, the bond between him and his owner was very strong and he
continued to wait at the station every day. Sometimes, he would stay there for days at a time, though some
believe that he kept returning because of the food he was given by street vendors. He became a familiar sight
to commuters over time. in 1934, a statue of him was put outside the station. In 1935, Hachiko died at the
place he last saw his friend alive.

A few years back, I read about how French chef Joel Robuchon supposedly does it at his
house: He puts sliced potatoes in a pot of cold oil, turns on the heat, and lets them go. It
sounds too simple to work. But as the temperature rises, the potatoes cook from the outer
layer in until the fries are wonderfully crunchy outside and creamy in the center. You’ll never
make fries any other way-even if you’ve never made them before.
