time fire services organization is essential. Notwithstanding the above, the candidate must have 3
years relevant experience after obtaining the requisite qualification of Station Officer-A.

Additional increment(s) and/or service weightage will be allowed in deserving cases based on experience/
higher qualification (relevant)/performance in interview.

01 GENERAL MANAGER: A first class Graduate/Post Graduate in Engineering or its equivalent in Electronics
and Communication engineering or its equivalent from a reputed University/Institute. Should have
excellent domain knowledge of Radios, Radars for various applications, Electronic Warfare Systems,
Integrated COMINT and ELINT Systems. Shall be responsible for heading the division leading a group of
talented engineers in developing new business as well as responsible for divisional performances. Shall
have handled large projects at Project Manager level and at Head of Division level. Shall have a good
rapport with DRDO, MoD and be aware of the MoD long range plans, DPP procedures etc. Should possess
20 years post qualification experience in all, of which last 5 years shall be in a senior management
positions. Ex-Service Officers with suitable experience can also apply.
02 SENIOR DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER/DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER (Defence-Business Development): A
First Class Graduate Engineer or a Staff College qualified First Class M.Sc., serving/retired Officer with
minimum of 6/2 years service in Colonel Rank. Should have experience of posting at Army Head
Quarters. Should be well versed with latest Defence Procurement Procedures and DPM-2009. Should
have good insight into current and future requirements of armed forces, to identify future business
areas.
03 DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER (QUALITY ASSURANCE): A First Class Graduate/Post-graduate in
Engineering or its equivalent in Electronics & Communication Engineering/Computer Science Engineering
from a reputed University/Institute. Should be capable to lead a team to Head, Quality Assurance for
Strategic Systems such as Nuclear, Defence etc. Should be fully conversant with Quality Management
systems and procedures with experience in implementation. Handling of MSQA projects will be preferred.
04 SENIOR MANAGER (CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS): A Post Graduate with PG Diploma in Journalism or
Master of Journalism. Should have post qualification experience as correspondent/journalist/web
correspondent for a reputed magazine/Organization. Shall be responsible for writing technical articles in
the in-house magazine as well as print media. The incumbent shall act as an interface between the media
and the Corporation.

SENIOR MANAGER (MATERIAL MANAGEMENT): A First Class Graduate Engineer or its equivalent with post
graduate Diploma in Material Management from a reputed University/Institution. Should have post
qualification experience in Materials Management of a large organization of repute dealing with imports
/ re-exports. Knowledge of implementation and operation of e-procurement and FEMA rules will be
preferred. Candidates having MBA with specialization in Materials Management will be preferred.
06 SENIOR MANAGER (QUALITY ASSURANCE / QUALITY CONTROL) : A First Class Graduate /Post graduate
in Engineering or its equivalent from a reputed University/ Institute. Should have post qualification
experience in Quality Assurance for Systems for strategic applications such as Nuclear, Defence etc.
Should have thorough knowledge of Quality management Systems & Procedures and its implementation.
Experience in handling projects of MSQA will be preferred.
07 TECHNICAL MANAGER (ENGINEERING) : A First Class Graduate Engineer or its equivalent in Mechanical
from a reputed University/Institute, with experience in Engineering & Product Development, System
Engineering / Electronics Packaging standards, practices, components, materials/CAE, CAD, CAM /
familiarity with JSS, MIL, IEC, DIN, ISO standards/thermal, EMC, IP issues/documentation standards.

08 TECHNICAL MANAGER (PRODUCTION) : A First Class Engineering Graduate or its equivalent in


Mechanical from a reputed University / Institute with experience in Design analysis of PCBs – Thermal, RF
interference. Should possess Knowledge in design & analysis tool for PCB design and have worked on
Multi layer Hi-density interconnectivity flexible PCB Boards.
09 TECHNICAL MANAGER (QUALITY ASSURANCE / QUALITY CONTROL) : A First Class Graduate Engineer or
its equivalent in Mechanical from a reputed University/ Institute with experience in Standards & QA
procedures applicable for Mil and Aerospace, applicable Indian Defence and MIL Standards. Should be
conversant with the Quality Management Systems.
10 PURCHASE MANAGER : A First Class Engineering graduate or its equivalent with post graduate Diploma in
Materials Management from a reputed University/ Institute with post qualification experience in
Materials Management of a large organization of repute dealing with imports / re-exports. Knowledge of
implementation and operation of e-procurement and FEMA rules will be preferred. Candidates having
MBA with specialization in Materials Management will be preferred.
11 PURCHASE OFFICER: A First Class Engineering graduate or its equivalent with One year Post Graduate
Diploma in Materials Management from a reputed University/Institute with post qualification experience
in Materials Management of a large organization of repute dealing with imports / re-exports. Knowledge
of implementation and operation of e-procurement and FEMA rules will be preferred. Candidates having
MBA with specialization in Materials Management will be preferred.

12 TECHNICAL OFFICER: A First Class Graduate/Post-graduate in Engineering or its equivalent from a


reputed University/Institute in Electronics/ CSE/Electrical/lnstrumentation/Mechanical
/CiviI/Aeronautical. Should have post qualification experience in systems for Defence, Nuclear, Space,
Security, Telecommunication, IT or process industry in the areas - design, development, manufacturing,
testing. Relevant areas of experience include: Embedded systems, Analog/digital electronics, ASIC,
MEMS, VLSI, FPGA, VM, PCI, Control & Instruments & Systems, Networks, Communication, EW System,
Power electronics, Drives, High Voltage Systems, Inertial components, systems, DSP, Image processing,
High performance computing, Thermal analysis, Machine design, structural analysis & design. Knowledge
and working experience of CAD, CAE, EDA, CASE, ANSYS, CATIA, Solid Works, ORACLE, C++, MATLAB,
SPICE, MIL/JSS/IEC/IEEE standards, Documentation and engineering tools, cost estimates, supervision of
Civil contracts, liaisoning with customers, Planning systems and Simulators for C&I Systems & Missiles,
Experience in Radar Data, Processing and application specific in Air Traffic Control.
13 STATION OFFICER-A (FIRE):
(i) SSC or equivalent + Certificate of Station Officer‟s Course of the National Fire Service College or
from CISF Fire Training Centre

Graduate of the Institute of Fire Engineering, India.
(OR)
B.E in Fire Engineering.
(ii) Having minimum 5 years of experience in a post not below the rank of Sub-Officer in a well
established whole time fire service organization is essential. Notwithstanding the above experience,
the candidate must have 3 years of relevant experience after obtaining the requisite qualification of
Station Officer-A for candidates without B.E (Fire) qualification.
(iii) Candidate should possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence and be fully conversant with the
operation and Maintenance of Fire Engines, Fire Pumps and other Fire Fighting Equipments.
Mode of Selection:
The Final selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of performance in Physical Endurance
Test/Trade Test and interview:
a) Should be able to run 100 meters in 30 seconds.
b) Should be able to lay 4 lengths of hoses each 50 ft. from the appliance within 3 minutes.
c) Should be able to climb on extension ladder of 35 ft. length and come down, twice in 2 minutes.
d) Should be able to carry a person of approximately his own weight by the Fireman‟s lift method
over 25 meters in 3 minutes.
e) Should be able to “pushups” 20 times continuously.
f) Should be able to run 1 mile in 10 minutes.

Coverage under PF & Gratuity schemes; LTC, Medical benefits, Leave Rules etc., would be allowed,
as per rules of the Corporation.

The reservation includes two posts for Persons with Disabilities (One each for Orthopedically Handicapped
and Hearing Handicapped), which may be from any category of candidates selected.
RELAXATIONS:
1. Qualification: First Class with minimum 60% marks is relaxed to Second Class with minimum 50%
marks in aggregate for SC/ST candidates.

2. Age: The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
candidates. Age relaxation for Persons with Disabilities (degree of disability 40% or above) is 5 years
for candidates belonging to General; 8 years for OBC and 10 years for SC/ST categories. Upper age
limit is further relaxed by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state
of Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.80 to 31.12.89.

3. Fee exemption: Candidates belong to SC/ST/PH & Serving/Retired Service Officers from Defence
are exempted from payment of application fee.

4. Experience: Relaxation in experience will be allowed for SC/ST candidates as detailed below:

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

1. Application Fee for General/OBC candidates is Rs. 200/- (non-refundable) for all posts. Candidates
belonging to SC / ST / PWD/ Serving/Retired Service Officers from Defence are exempted.
2. Candidates claiming to belong to any particular category of SC / ST / OBC / PWD shall necessarily
submit a copy of certificate, as prescribed by Govt. of India, as the case may be, from a competent
authority. Candidates belong to OBC category but coming in the “creamy layer” are not entitled to
apply against OBC (Non-creamy layer) category.
3. The Management reserves right to limit the number of candidates to be called for interview, as also
to fill the posts even at lower level.
4. Before applying, the candidate should read the complete advertisement carefully and ensure that he
/ she fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement in all respects.
5. All qualifications should be from a recognized Indian University / Institute recognized by AICTE /
Appropriate Statutory Authority.
6. The candidates working in Govt. Departments /PSUs should route their application through proper
channel or „No Objection Certificate‟ should be produced at the time of interview invariably.
7. No manual / paper application will be entertained.
8. TA (to & fro rail fare) will be paid to the outstation candidates appearing for interview by the
shortest route to Hyderabad and back [i.e., from the address for correspondence (within India)
mentioned in the Application form], subject to production of documentary proof, as per rules.

HOW TO APPLY:

1. Eligible candidates have to apply „ON-LINE‟ through our website “http://www.ecil.co.in” and
select „Careers‟ and click on the “Jobs.ecil.co.in” link. You can alternatively use
“https://jobs.ecil.co.in” for getting connected to advertisement details. The on-line application
will be operational from 24.08.2010 (1300 hrs.) to 07.09.2010 (2400 hrs.).
2. State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the Application fee on behalf of ECIL, in a
specially opened account Number 31102144119 available on website from 24.08.2010. Candidate
has to download and print the pay-in-slip and approach the nearby SBI branch for remitting the
application fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only). The pay-in-slip printed from the portal
should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account.
On receipt of the money, the Bank will allot a Journal Number, Branch Name and Branch Code,
after collecting said money. This journal number, Branch Name and branch code are to be filled up
by the candidate while applying online. In case, the candidate deposits the fee in a wrong account,
ECIL will not be responsible. There will not be any other mode of receipt of application fee.
3. The candidate can take a print out of the blank application proforma provided as a link on the main
page, fill up the required information (in Capital letters) as per proforma along with the application
fee details and apply through on-line so that the data furnished is error-free.
4. After applying on-line, the candidate is required to take the print out of registered on-line
application form with system generated application serial number. Please note down your
application serial number for the post applied, for future reference. The candidate can take re-
print of his/her registered on-line application form before the last date for On-line registration.
Write the system generated on-line application serial number on the ECIL copy of the Pay-in-slip
form.
5. The candidate has to sign on print-out of on-line registered application form by affixing the colour
passport size photograph (4 X 3 cms) and enclose the photo copies of educational qualifications,
experience, caste & Medical Certificate (applicable for PH candidates only) along with ECIL‟s copy
of Pay-in-slip invariably. The candidate can retain a copy of the registered on-line application form
and candidate‟s copy of Pay-in-slip of application fee for future reference.
6. The candidate should write advertisement Number 9/2010, Post No.____ and system generated
Application Number on the top of the envelope and send the same to:
