Show and Tell Guidelines:

General:
Anything related to Animal Science.
This is NOT a contest
Everyone must participate – if you need help ask your parents or teachers
There must be SOMETHING/SOMEONE to show, (pictures, magazine articles,
items you own, people you know, etc.)

Live Animal Guidelines:

If it can be caged all day with no attention (such as being taken to the bathroom,
etc.) then you can bring it to the classroom in the cage and leave it all day while you
are in your other classes. At the end of the day you must come to pick it up. Mrs.
Miller will not take any more animals to her home.

If it can not be caged, (animals such as dogs, cats, etc.) you may have someone
bring it to the back door of the classroom at the beginning of the period and pick it
up at the end of the period. All parents who are dropping off animals have the
option of staying throughout the duration of the presentations.

All animals must be controlled and handled by the student/owner. Mrs. Miller,
Wilkes Central High School, Wilkes County Schools will not be held responsible
for animal behavior, only the student/owner will be liable for damages.

What you need to know:

The show and tell presentation must be at least 2 minutes in length, and the
presenter must be ready to answer questions from the audience.

Please see attached schedule for presentation dates. If you are absent on your
assigned presentation day, you must see Mrs. Miller to schedule a make-up day.
You may not skip this presentation, as it is for a grade.

If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Miller in room 131, or parents can call
the school at 667-5277 to speak with Amy Miller, the Animal Science Teacher.
