 Designed speaker modules, speaker enclosures and speaker units based on customers’ technical

specs using SolidWorks and determined the manufacturability of the design in terms of the
complexity of molding process, feasibility to bring the design to mass production and potential
costs generated.

 Conducted simulation to the designed prototypes based on several crucial parameters

including the size of the magnet, its material, the length of the voice coil and the volume of
the front and back enclosure, analyzed the acoustics parameters obtained, and revised the
prototypes to meet customer’s requirements.

 Devised a variety of Design of Experiments to test the designed prototypes including drop test,
impact test, thermal test, hydrotest, etc., analyzed the reliability results of the prototypes ,and
remolded the design accordingly.

 Worked closely with our clients from the tech giants to discuss the product requirements, product
design details, and Design for Manufacturing specifications to ensure that the product is locked
down on schedule.

Decision Made
Selected materials for every component in the speaker module such as the diaphragm, upper plates,
metal inserts, etc. based on molding processes, assembly processes, and acoustic performances.
The engineering decisions over draft angles, thickness of the speaker module and support structures
had to be made based on the results of reliability tests and acoustic performances of the product.
Decided the criterial of Design for Experiments such as drop height, drop angle, thermal expansion
allowance, etc. so as to allow the product to function properly in the normal operating conditions.

 Perform stress calculations and analysis to different piping structures based on the design
pressures and temperatures
 Directing and supervising the implementation of piping construction and equipment installation
based on API, ASME and B31.1 codes
 Investigate and analyze the root causes of construction abnormalities including weld defects,
pipe corrosion and pipe leaks and make a learned recommendations to resolve the issues
Decision Made
Decide thicknesses and materials of pipes and determine the valves, fittings and piping components
to be used for different projects based on analytical findings and stress calculation results.
Make final decisions to resolve engineering issues including using low hydrogen welding process to
solve porosity issues of welds, utilizing materials with similar electrical potentials to prevent galvanic
corrosion and using welded pipes to solve pipe leaking issues.
Designed the core configurations of a new glass conveyor system capable of lowering cycle time by
40% and boosting production by 20 % using SolidWorks including a new rail system, a new support
mechanism and magnetic force-driven carrier.
