Guidelines and Template for Assignment


Odd semester August 2015

The following Guidelines and template may be utilized by all departments to give Assignments to
students from the academic year 2015.

1. 8 Questions are to be set and student will have to answer all questions. These 8 questions
must be framed based upon the syllabus prescribed for scheduled Internal Assessment Test.
2. All questions carry equal marks i.e each main question carries 10 marks
3. All questions to be set based on Blooms Taxonomy only.
4. In each assignment 2 questions each are to be set based on Blooms level 1, 2 and 1 question
each on Blooms level 3,4, 5 and 6. The following table provides the definitions and action
verbs associated with Blooms taxonomy and this should be used to prepare the questions.

5. The assignments are to be displayed on the specified date and students will have to submit
the completed assignments within the specified date.
6. Faculty will have to check and affix their signatures in the assignments.
7. Five questions of the Internal Question Paper are to be set based upon the respective
assignment question pattern.
8. Students will have to bring the assignments of respective subjects on their Internals and it
will be the duty of the Invigilator to check the faculty sign in the assignment and allow him
to write the Internals.
9. Students who fail to submit or whose assignment is not affixed with signature shall not be
allowed to write the internals.
