SOME OF IMPORTANT MAJOR PRESTIGIOUS TURNKEY PROJECTS EXECUTED:
The latest feather in our cap is the order for making a Floating musical fountain in Mumbai’s famous
Powai Lake which is the biggest floating musical fountain in India. The entire fountain spans over 50 mtrs in
length & is about 15 mtrs wide assembled on a stainless steel grid mounted on 15 floats. There are also two
high end floating fountains right in the middle of the lake which will throw water up to 40 mtrs in height.
Also the work of biggest musical fountain with laser show in South Asia is complete and commissioned by
end of February 2010. The fountain is installed in a pool of 75 mtrs X 25 mtrs with a grid size of 70 mtrs in
length and 15mtrs in width. There are a total of more than 1500 nozzles achieving more than 250
formations and effects. The value of this is 5.5 CR. The system also comprises of an imported aqua screen of
54 mtrs X 18 mtrs on which a multi media show portraying the evolution, rise around the Gurus of the Sikhs
will be shown will be projected using two DPSS lasers of 5 watts and one video projector of 20000 lumens.
The system also comprises a very high end BOSE sound system.

Rajeev R. Kumar is a bachelor in civil engineering with hydraulics as a special subject has over 20 years of
experience in various fields. He has got appox. 15 years experience of working on various projects of
fountains. He has worked all over India & Nepal on more than 300 prestigious projects.
Satyanarayan is an irrigation engineer from NPIL, Hyderabad and has over 12 years’ hands on experience
working on various projects with some of the leading Architects from around the country. He has the added
advantage of being trained under technical experts from Israel directly for irrigation. He has not only been
pivotal in designing the irrigation systems but with his keen sense of interior designing has only added to the
aesthetic value of projects he has handled. He has designed irrigation systems for quite a few public gardens
and also has the exposure to quality products from many leading brands from across the globe.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
At the outset , after finalization of the order, a quality assurance plan (QAP) is prepared & sent to the
Client/Inspection agency wherein all the stages of the manufacturing process and corresponding type and
extent of inspection are indicated and agreed upon as per the relevant code.
Usually as soon as the raw material is procured, we carry out our own internal inspection with respect to
size, thickness, surface defects, co-relation of the markings on the material with the corresponding mill test
certificate if available. We also prepare the WPS / PQR / WPQ tests specifications sheets and test coupons
for the purpose of welding procedure qualification and welder qualification. Then if asked for the Client/
Inspection agency is intimated to inspect the raw material and carry out the requisite tests in their presence.
The material is then inspected by the Client/ Inspection agency, duly identified and stamped and depending
on their comments, either sent to approved testing laboratories for check testing or released for further
processing. The above procedure is repeated at every stage/activity of the manufacturing sequence as per
the QAP submitted. Any non-confirmittance at any stage is reported to the Client/ Inspection agency and
their instructions/ advice regarding acceptance / modification / rejection are sought before proceeding
further to the next stage of manufacture.
At the end of the manufacturing sequence and after verifying that all the check points listed in the QAP are
satisfied, we issue a certificate of compliance stating that the product manufactured meets the relevant
quality standards, duly endorsed by the concerned inspection authority.
DESIGN FACILITIES
The design office is responsible for basic design of the systems as well as formulation of specifications of
various bought out items, assemblies & sub assemblies to be procured from Vendors / Suppliers. The design
department is operated by Mechanical Engineers having 5 – 6 years of design experience in Hydraulic
Systems / Structural Design / Piping / Instrumentation Control and is assisted by Draftsman. All the design
activities are carried out as per latest Indian and International Code of practice and Software developed in
house. The drawings etc. are prepared using latest release of Auto Cad, Max etc as per the requirement.
PROCUREMENT
The procurement Department uses the documents and specifications approved by the above committee to
procure the items from the approved Vendor .The Purchase Order also specifies the quality assurance
requirements for each product . The procurement department is responsible for checking the quality before
accepting the material .
STORES
The stores department which receives the material from the Vendor / Supplier also checks the material and
makes sure that the relevant documents of quality assurance are handed over before materials are accepted
at stores .
PRODUCTION
The Production department is responsible for checking the quality of the products during production &
carrying out various tests namely : visual , dimensional , fitment & alignment , hydraulic test & other tests as
specified in the Quality Assurance Plan .The customer as may be specified in the Quality Assurance Plan
witnesses some of these tests .All the activities of the quality assurance department are carried out under
the guidance & supervision of Sr. Engineers of the company who directly reports to the management .
REVIEW
The Quality Assurance Procedures are audited and reviewed once in six months . Any defects noticed during
the review are brought to the notice of the top management and suitable actions are taken to ensure that
the quality of the products are consistently improved and any defects / deviations noticed from time to time
rectified

COOLING In a hot dry environment a fountain acts like an evaporative "desert"

cooler, perhaps even greater is the psychological effect - people feel cool in
the presence of a fountain. .
PEACE OF MIND The sound and sight of falling water is well known to induce relaxation and
relieve stress. .
ENTERTAINMENT Sequencing, changing and moving fountains entertain. The classic example
is a musical fountain which is so entertaining people pay to watch it.

SOUND SCREEN Falling water masks unpleasant sounds from traffic, air conditioners, plant
and machinery. .
HUMIDIFICATION In a dry environment a fountain humidifies, especially useful with indoor

models.
MAKES A STATEMENT In an architectural or landscape design it can be used to draw the eye,
anchor a design, create a focal point.

seen for miles .
SOME SELECTION FACTORS .
POOL SIZE AND SHAPE Water splashing outside the pool needs to be avoided at all cost, it is
unsightly and dangerous - people can slip. Wind can blow water outside
the pool. If wind cannot be avoided choose a type more resistant to wind,
a lower height, and consider making the pool larger. Fountains marked
"water level dependent" must have a constant water level. Pool plans will
give details. Certain fountains are marked as needing "surge suppression".
Pool plans will give details but such fountains will be better in larger pools
and non-regular shapes, round and square are the worst.
WATER This should be drinking water quality and standard. Excessive iron causes
unsightly staining. Hard water, pH above 7.5, causes deposits to form
particularly on light glasses but fitting a magnetic water treatment coil that
keeps deposit forming salts in suspension can help. Some water will be
lost through spray and evaporation, allow 5 to 15% of pool quantity per
week depending on conditions - wind drift, temperature, hours of
operation. .
Since the beauty of a fountain depends on the cleanliness of the water,

include a packaged filtration unit (PFU) to clean water automatically, this
also economizes on water as it will reduce refilling. If standing water in the
pool is to be avoided and water stored below ground then a special design
can be provided. .
MAINTENANCE Avoid siting fountains where tree leaves can fall into the pool. Similarly in
public areas plastic bags, balloons and plastic cups may be thrown into the
pool unless it is fenced. If it will be difficult to keep the water clean avoid
selecting fountains with fine passages that are easily blocked, such models
include - Ball, Rings, Wedding Cake, Glass Beauty. .
LOCATION A fountain shows up best against a darker background - trees, hedges, and
buildings .
WIND High fountains and those with fine spray are most affected by wind, such
models include - Water Column, High & Heavy Cascade, Ball
.
NOISE If this is to be kept to a minimum, select from fountains that have lighter
jets, avoid high and heavy jet types .
HORSEPOWER Larger fountains require more horsepower and have higher running cost.
However if such fountains are run for only a few hours per day running
cost may not be so significant.
AT NIGHT Fountains can be even more beautiful at night when lit properly. Options
include - clear (so called white light), sequencing colored and color
blending which gives many ever-changing shades. Color filters reduce light
output therefore for very tall fountains white light is best.
FOUNTAIN COMPLEXES Individual fountains can be combined in groups to form larger fountain
complexes. Fountains can be in one large or smaller individual pool and on
different levels. If colored sequencing lighting is to be used a master
controller will be required so all lights are coordinated .

As an owner of AQUATIK ENGINEERING India, I have overall corporate responsibility in the Group for the
