1. Presenting grammar rules of can/cannot sentences on Prezi.
2. Watching a video related to the topic on Prezi.
3. Completing the related parts in the coursebook.
4. Giving a handout about can/cannot.
5. Playing a game whose name is My Stickman Can/Cannot. The teacher is expected to draw a stickman
and let the students form sentences about can/cannot to erase the stickman’s body parts. (“My
stickman cannot walk”. > Erase the feet.)
6. Making students write a short paragraph about the student’s abilities and inabilities.
Individual Learning Activities Writing down a short paragraph about their and other
people’s abilities and inabilities.

Summary
The lesson will be started with a presentation that is containing a video to attract the students’ interest. The
lesson will mostly cover the grammatical side of the subject. To improve their speaking skill, the students will
participate in an individual game. The lesson will end with a writing activity to enhance their act of writing.
