3.1 Production and Operating Requirements

3.1.1 Manufacturing Process

Cooling Husk Pad will make the Shoppesville Plus located at Greenhills,

San Juan City, Philippines.The supplier of the rice husk of the Cooling Husk

Pad will be Feet Smart Cdo located at Lapu Lapu, Cebu City, Philippines. The

heat insulator will be Vilton Supply Hardware at Baesa, Caloocan City. The

polyurethane foam spray and acrylic epoxy spray will be bought at Dongguan

Dayang Aerosol Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.

The production process will begin with the burning of the rice husks, then

followed by mixing it with the polyurethane foam spray then form it into

rectangular shape and wait until it turns to solidify. After that is the wrapping up

of the rectangular shape from the rice husks and polyurethane foam to the heat

insulator. The final stage is the spraying it with the acrylic epoxy spray to have

a design. The Cooling Husk Pad is ready for packaging and distribution.

 3.1.2 Place Production

Cooling Husk Pad will have its business operations set-up in Shoppesville

Plus at Greenhills Shopping Center, Ortigas Avenue, San Juan City. The whole

production process will be held here and we will also save some space for a

stall for the product to be sold in the same place.

3.1.3 Intended Space

The space intended for the production and selling of Cooling Husk Pad will

be a rent for 15,000 per month.

3.1.4 Material and Equipment

The Cooling Husk Pad will purchased Polyurethane Foam Spray and acrylic

epoxy spray paint from Dongguan Dayang Aerosol Chemical Technology Co.,

Ltd.The Feet Smart CDO will supply the rice husk.

3.1.5 Manufacturing process and procedure.

When all the material are ready, we can burn the rice husk to turn into ash

and we mix it with polyurethane foam spray and harden it to form rectangle

shape and then wrap the heat insulator in the rectangular shape then spray the

acrylic epoxy to add color or design.

3.1.6 Outsourced Production

3.1.6.1 Source of Supplies

The materials that will be using in the making of Cooling husk

pad will be supplied from Dongguan Dayang Aerosol Chemical

Technology Co., Ltd. for the polyurethane Foam Spray and acrylic

epoxy spray paint. The Feet Smart CDO will supply the rice husk. All of

these suppliers will help us to make the cooling husk pad possible
 3.1.6.2 Terms and Contract

The suppliers had engaged in supplying the materials needed in

making the cooling husk pad for the first year of the business. The

transactions are carried out through regular orders (every 3 months, or

every 5 months). The minimum and maximum amount of supplies for the

Polyurethane spray foam is 300-500 pieces for every 5 months same for

the Acrylic Epoxy Spray Paint and for the rice husk 5-10 sack for every

3 months. The terms of Delivery, Risk of loss, Limited warranty,

Suppliers Identification, Buyer’s Identification, Insurance, Force

Majeure, Confidentiality, Governing Law, and the number of alternative

adjustment of the price at the end of each year within the term is also

stated in the contract

This terms and agreement is established for the success of the

partnership within the suppliers of the business.

3.1.6.3 Business Process Protection

The cooling husk pad would like to apply patent to the process of its

products for the protection.

3.2 Intellectual Property

3.2.1 Trademark Process

Trademark is a very effective tool that makes the public remember the quality

of goods and services. Once a trademark becomes known, the public will keep

on patronizing the product and services. Trademark are form of intellectual

property.
 It is a grant of property right to the investor, issued by the Intellectual

Property Office (IPO) under the Office of the President. The trademark

protection granted by IP Philippines protects your mark only in the Philippines.

The right conferred by the trademark grant is “right to exclude others

from making, using, offering for sale, or selling” the invention in the Philippines

or “importing” the invention into the Philippines. What is granted is not the right

to make, use, offer for sale, sell or import, but the right to exclude others from

making, using, offering for sale, selling or importing the invention.

3.3.2 Phases of Production Completion

Step 1: Purchase of All the Necessary Materials

The proponents need to purchase everything that is needed to make

Cooling Husk Pad (i.e. rice husk/hull, heat insulator, polyurethane spray

foam, spray paint).

Step 2: Burning of the Rice Hull

The rice hull then needs to be burned at around 600-900 degree celsius

for more effective byproduct.

Step 3: Mixing the Rice Hull Ash to Polyurethane Foam

After burning, the byproduct is then mixed with the polyurethane foam.

These are two heat insulators, so when they are combined, they are

more effective.

Step 4: Shaping

After mixing the two materials, they will then be molded to a thin

rectangular prism.
Step 5: Covering

After forming into a thin rectangular prism, The proponents will cover it

with the heat insulator. The polyurethane foam is also the material that

will be used to stick the heat insulator from side to side.

Step 6: Coloring

Lastly, the product will be sprayed with a color with the epoxy spray paint

to make it attractive and appealing to the eyes of the customers.

3.3.3 Relationship of Events

November 2017 - the proponents will start the development of the product’s

prototype.

December and January 2018 - the proponents will conduct test marketing by

starting to distribute posters and social media posts, two weeks prior to the

actual release of the product.

January 2018 - Cooling Husk Pad will be involved in various public relation

activities in connection to environmental and agricultural awareness and

preservation.

January 2018 - at the beginning of the third week of January, the Cooling Husk

Pad will be available at our physical store, online store, and distributors.

January 2018 - during the first two weeks of its release, Cooling Husk Pad can

be availed at 15% lower than the original price.
