Introducing your Tour Escort Paul Allison

Born and bred in the south, Paul Allison grew up on a South Otago farm and today lives in Central Otago with his wife, Gaye.
Known as the “Voice of Carisbrook” for almost two decades, Paul has been extensively involved with radio and television
broadcasting for over 30 years. He has also been an international television commentator at Olympic and Commonwealth
Games and continues to be the resident radio commentator for provincial and international fixtures from Forsyth Barr
Stadium. He was a former NZ marathon representative for eight years during the 1980’s and 1990’s and competed in 28
marathons – winning 13! To help pay the bills, Paul was Chief Executive of Sport Otago for 13 years and Central Lakes Trust
for over 10 years. Paul has a reputation as a highly entertaining guest speaker and his services have been widely used
throughout NZ. This self-confessed Kiwi sports fanatic enjoys the thrill of the challenge, becomes enthusiastic about the
journey, is committed to arriving at the destination and appreciates the experiences along the way.

1 Christchurch - Vancouver (Sun 24 Jun)
This afternoon we depart via Auckland to Vancouver. On arrival
we will be met and transferred to our hotel in the heart of the city.
Enjoy dinner this evening in the hotel. (D)
Vancouver – Toronto (Mon 25 Jun)

Welcome to Toronto. Today we meet with our Trafalgar Tour guide
who will be with us for the next 13 days. After transferring to our
hotel to check in we have some time to relax prior to enjoying
dinner in a local restaurant. (B, D)
3 Toronto (Tue 26 Jun)
Start the day with an orientation tour of cosmopolitan Toronto,
viewing sprawling Queens Park, stately University Avenue and
the Provincial Parliament Buildings. We then embark on a trip to
the top of the iconic CN Tower with the remainder of the day at
leisure. (B, D)
4 Toronto – Niagara Falls (Wed 27 Jun)
Today we travel to Niagara Falls for panoramic views of the
thundering cascades before an exhilarating boat ride to the
base of Horseshoe Falls. This evening we enjoy a “Be My Guest”
experience at a family-owned winery. Enjoy an exclusive tasting
of their award-winning wines, including ice wine, a specialty of
the region. Sample some of Niagara’s regional cuisine created with
local seasonal ingredients. (B, D)
5 Niagara Falls – Kingston (Thu 28 Jun)
Travel along the shores of Lake Ontario to beautiful Kingston, known
for its grand 19th century buildings. (B, D)
6 Kingston (Fri 29 Jun)
Enjoy a 1000 Island cruise. Kingston’s Discovery Cruise
introduces the unique sights and heritage of the 1000 Islands
region and the historic waterfront of Canada’s First Capital. The
cruise passes close to National Park Islands and National Historic
Sites, and includes a lively narration of Kingston’s history and
natural setting. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure before dining this
evening at a local restaurant. (B, D)
7 Kingston – Ottowa (Sat 30 Jul)
Today we drive to Ottawa where we embark on an introductory
tour, viewing the elegant building of Parliament Hill, Rideau
Hall, the residence of the Governor General of Canada and the
beautiful downtown parks. This evening we enjoy dinner in a
local restaurant. (B, D)
8 Ottowa (Sun 1 Jul)
Meet retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Francois Coallier
who will give a short presentation of the history of the RCMP, his
personal story and career highlights. After, c’mon aboard Ottawa
and Gatineau’s premier sightseeing vessel, the Empress of Ottawa,

and capture unique and spectacular views of some of the city’s
attractions such as the Parliament Buildings, Canadian Museum of
History (formerly Canadian Museum of Civilization), Rideau Falls,

9 Ottowa - Quebec (Mon 2 Jul)
This morning, travel to Parc Omega, a safari park that is home to
many different kinds of wildlife. Later, find yourself in Quebec City.

10 Quebec (Tue 3 Jul)
Join our Local Specialist on an exploration of Old Quebec City,
a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk the narrow streets of the
atmospheric Old Town and the Plains of Abraham, the site of a
major colonial battle between the British and the French. Enjoy
the afternoon at leisure before dinner this evening in a local
restaurant. (B, D)
11 Quebec - Montreal (Wed 4 Jul)
Today we enter Montreal, the largest French-speaking city outside
of France. Enjoy some time at leisure before dining this evening in
a local restaurant. (B, D)
12 Montreal (Thu 5 Jul)
Today we meet our local specialist who will introduce us to the
historic sites of the city, including spectacular Notre Dame Basilica,
the colourful Old Port area and the modern downtown. This evening
we enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. (B, D)
13 Montreal – Calgary (Fri 6 Jul)
After breakfast we transfer to the Montreal Airport for our onward
flight to Calgary. Brace yourself for the wonder of the GMC Rangeland
Derby, and the Trans Alta Grandstand Show. Chuck wagon racing is
followed by an epic stage show. (B)
14 Calgary Stampede (Sat 7 Jul)
A full day today at the Greatest Outdoor Show in the World.
Spend your day experiencing everything the Calgary Stampede
has to offer including shows, music, food, exhibits, agricultural
machinery & vehicles, and so much more. (B)
15 Calgary – Vancouver (Sun 8 Jul)
After breakfast we transfer to the airport for our flight to
Vancouver. We then depart on a half day city tour of Vancouver
showing sites such as the Downtown area, Chinatown, Gastown,
Stanley Park, English Bay, Canada Place and Yaletown. This
evening we enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. (B, D)
16 Vancouver - New Zealand (Mon 9 Jul)
Enjoy a day at leisure to relax or shop prior to a late afternoon
transfer to the airport. (B)
