January-May Guidebook
Following Jesus in diverse community as we...

Welcome!
We’re excited about what God is doing at ACAC. He planted us in this neighborhood over 120 years ago, but His working in us
and through us today couldn’t be more relevant!
He’s enabled us to break down long-standing walls of bigotry and fear and replace them with bridges of love and trust.
He’s enabled us to serve the Northside, our region and our world with holistic ministries that touch every aspect of the human
experience. And He’s enabled us to grow despite the limited space and economics of an urban neighborhood.

And He’s not finished with us!

We hope you’ll join us on this adventure -

and find your place in the activities outlined in this Winter/Spring Guidebook.

Pastor Blaine Workman, Pastor Ross Owens, Pastor Sheldon Williams,

Pastor Rock Dillaman, Sheran White, and Sheila Edmunds

“The founding pastor of this ministry stated he wasn’t capable of leading it – but he was willing to run
errands for the Holy Spirit. It’s been my privilege to continue his legacy for the past 34 years. During that
time I’ve watched God renew us, transform us, and empower us to impact thousands of lives in His name.
And I believe our best days are ahead of us!”
- Pastor Rock

There are significant steps planned for the first half of 2018 to advance the 3 Cs of
Expanded Influence - Campus Redesign, Church Planting and Communications.
Everyone in our congregation will need to be engaged in making decisions and
commitments that shape ACAC’s future.
Key Dates
January: Congregational Prayer and Fasting
Everyone is encouraged to intentionally fast and pray for discernment and faith during the month of January as
we prepare for this upcoming season of Expanded Influence. Fasting guides are available at information desks
or you can download the guide from the www.acac.net/expanded-influence web page.

February 3-4: Expanded Influence Project Plan presented during services

Leadership will share the plan for moving forward in Church Planting, Communications and Campus Redesign.
Concepts will be proposed for a new campus hub building that would connect and simplify our campus.
Leadership will be available on remaining weekends in February during 2nd and 3rd services to review the plan,
field questions, and address any concerns you might have about the proposal.

March 3-4: Congregational vote

All members of our congregation will be asked to vote on the proposed campus redesign to determine whether
or not we’ll move forward on the building project.*
*If we move in favor of the Campus Redesign, a capital campaign would immediately launch with a three-year
pledge commitment weekend occurring in June.

April 1: Homestead/Fellowship412 Launch (tentative)

The official launch of worship services for the Homestead church plant, Fellowship 412, is being planned for this
spring. The core launch team will begin meeting regularly on Sundays in January on the ACAC campus. Other
ministry programs are also being planned for starting outreach into the Homestead community in 2018.
