MANAGER: Admin and Asset Cost Control
BASED AT OR TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT JOHANNESBURG

Responsible for centrally overseeing the total cost of ownership of the ground support equipment (GSE) through audits, cost
control, monitoring and follow up for effective management of the ground support equipment. Provide a cost effective
maintenance services to internal and external customers.

Your main tasks are:


 Contribute to the development of the organizations overall maintenance strategy and establish budgets, plans and policies, systems and
procedures to achieve these strategic objectives.
 Overall Responsibility of the administration and asset control of the GSE department ( stock , job cards etc )
 Assist the HoD : Supply chain and work closing with the Manager GSE.
 Establish targets in areas such as Parts and GSE assets, fleet management, reliability, and procurement processes and services standards
and monitor the performance against these goals.
 Oversee the overall budget; monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources and prioritize spending. Monitor time lost
due to equipment malfunctions; identify, research and prepare recommendations on significant changes that need to be made to resources,
procedures, systems, equipment or technology for optimum deployment of equipment.
 Provide quality service to both internal and external customers by monitoring cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources and
achieve timeliness, reliability and safety standards.
 Evaluate, select and manage relationships with external contractors to minimize costs and ensure the organization receives high standard of
service.
 Ensure the Company policies and procedures pertaining GSE maintenance are being followed.
 Liaise with ramp and station management in regards to in-service rates and other operational issues on a daily basis.
 Lead, direct, evaluate and develop maintenance staff so that repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely and on time.
 Achieve financial objectives by anticipating requirements; submitting information for budget preparation; scheduling expenditures;
monitoring costs and analyzing variances.
 Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and
continuing needs.

Your profile:
 Degree or similar in Aircraft and automotive mechanics / engineering
 Minimum 5 years experience in the relevant industry
 Technical background (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical)
 Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills
 Distinct customer focus (internal and external)
 Excellent knowledge of Pastel, Excel, Local Tax Laws
 Report directly to the HOD of Supply Chain and Procurement
