D. COMPANY OWNERSHIP
MARJ Travel and Tours is a business established by the proponents that offers travel-related services.
It is composed of six partners, two of which are capitalist-industrial partners and the remainder are
capitalist partners.
The form of ownership to be adopted by “MARJ Travel and Tours” is a General Partnership. Based
on Article 1767 of the New Civil Code of the Philippines, “By the contract of partnership two or more
persons bind themselves to contribute money, property, or industry to a common fund, with the intention
of dividing the profits among themselves”. A general partner is one who contributes skill and time as
investment in the business. A capitalist-industrial partner is one who contributes money or property and
his industry. In addition, the liability of the general partners extends to their personal assets.

collections are duly deposited with the bank and credited to the company’s current/savings

Answer telephones, direct call and take messages.

H. MODE OF FINANCING
MARJ Travel and Tours will have a total of Php900, 000 starting capital. The six (6) partners agreed
to give an equal contribution of Php150, 000 capitals. The primary sources of fund are from the
contribution of the partners’ personal savings.

I. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
These benefits are granted to the regular employees (managers, secretary, account executive, tour
coordinator).
2. Vacation Leave
Regular employees shall be eligible for vacation leave for seven (7) days up to fourteen (14) days
with pay.
3. Maternity Leave
Female employees, whether married or unmarried, shall be entitled to maternity leave of sixty
(60) days for normal delivery or seventy-eight (78) days for caesarean delivery with pay
4. Paternity Leave
All male employees shall also be allowed paternity leave for seven (7) days with basic salary and

5. Sick Leave
This shall be granted to all employees suffering from illness. He/she may leave work for three
(3) days provided that he/she is able to present a medical certificate from an authorized and
certified doctor.
Employees (except for emergency helpers), who work at least one month during the calendar
year, are entitled to receive their thirteenth (13th) month pay every December. The required
thirteenth (13th) month pay shall be paid not later than December 24 of each year as required in
Presidential Decree (P.D.) No. 85. If the amount of thirteenth (13th) month pay is equivalent to
Php30,000.00 and below, it is not subject to tax. Otherwise, such shall be subject to tax, as per

Saturday to Sunday starting at 9:00am to 8:00pm.

K. ORGANIZATIONAL POLICIES
A definite and clear policies are essential to achieve an effective management. MARJ Travel and
Tours ensures that this policies serves as a set of standards for the guidance of the management to achieve
its objective. These policies are generally the plans of actions for the conduct and operation of the business
Attendance Policy
Falsifying of personal time card and punching of time card for other person is likewise
prohibited. Anyone caught or reported doing this act, if supported with sufficient evidence, will be
subjected to proper disciplinary proceedings. The “no time in, no time out, no pay” policy is strictly
implemented and observed by the management.
Absences
Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled and on time. Those who came late
for more than 30 minutes (30) in one cut off period will receive a verbal warning in first offense,
in second offense they will be called at the office of the manager to clearly state his or her reason
verbally, in the third and final offense they will be suspended for three days all of the said rule is
with corresponding deductions on their respective salaries.
Absent without notifying the manager will receive a warning at first offense, and make
sure the reason is valid because if not employee may be subject to suspension depending on the
cause.
Absences without official leave and without valid reason or evidence for one to three days,
employee will receive a one week suspension. An absence for six consecutive days without
notifying is considered abandonment of work or absence without official leave (AWOL), which
can be a just cause for termination.

Those who came late for three (3) consecutive days will receive a verbal warning, also
with corresponding deductions on their salaries. Coming late for late 7 consecutive days will
receive a written warning and will be called to state his or her reason(s) verbally, also with
corresponding deductions. Being late for thirty minutes or more will be treated as half day.
All employees should wear their prescribed uniform inside the business vicinity. All
employees should look neat and clean at all times. Failure to comply will result in warning in first
offense, and will be subject to proper disciplinary proceedings at the third and final warning.
Smoking Policy
The entity maintains a non-smoking policy within the business premises. Failure to comply
will result in proper disciplinary proceedings.
Employees are only allowed to use their electronic device during break or after their shift.
Employees are not allowed to use the computer for personal use and interest.
