and the baking oven temperature.

4.2 Interface (input – electronic display system) top class

The interface accommodates the components for entering and displaying the baking oven functions
and the baking oven temperature as well as the clock functions.

4.3 Power board of comfort class (baking oven)

Fig. Power board of comfort class

TSE-N 01.01 A. B. -9- 599 50 93 79 EN

4.4 Power board top class (baking oven)

Fig. Power board of top class

The power boards accommodate the components to control the heaters, hot air blowers, cooling
fan and the automatic door lock (with pyrolysis appliances).
In addition, the primary side of the power pack includes the fuse (sluggish, 100 mA) of the
appliance.
If this fuse is defective, the appliance does not function and the displays and lighting system are out
of service.

4.5 Power board (hot plates)

Fig. Power board of hot plates

The power board accommodates the components to control the hot plates, other semi-conductor
elements and a fine-wire fuse (sluggish, 100 mA). The hot plates cannot be operated if this fuse is
defective.

4.6 Display of hot plates

Fig. Display of hot plates

These components accommodate the LED to display the cooking levels set at the 4 hot plates.

4.7 Set value transmitter (hot plates)

At the set value transmitter, each angular degree of switch turning changes an existing voltage
value and/or resistance value. Thus turning the switch results in a change of the existing
temperature at the heater. Control is via the power board.

TSE-N 01.01 A. B. - 11 - 599 50 93 79 EN

4.8 Temperature sensor

The temperature in the baking oven is measured by a temperature sensor (type PT 500) for
appliances with control board. The sensor is provided at the rear of the appliance. It is used to
transmit to the electronic systems the values for:
- cyclic heating the radiators until the selected temperature is reached;
- switch off the radiators in case of overheating of defective sensor;
- switching ON/OFF the cooling fan.

4.9 Appliances with pyrolysis

4.9.1 Door lock

The appliances with pyrolytic self-cleaning system are provided with a specific door lock system
(Fig. 1) This system prevents opening of the baking oven door with the pyrolysis switched on. The
lock system is operated with 2 heated bimetallic elements which move a bar into position which
then either blocks or releases the lock lever at the baking oven door. The system functions during
the pyrolysis process independent of the electrical voltage.
The door lock is switched on at a temperature of the muffle centre of gravity (temperature in centre
of baking oven) of 312 °C. Unlocking is at a temperature of approx. 180 °C via a Klixon (f11 in wiring
diagram). The Klixon is arranged at the transverse beam beside the hot air motor (Fig. 2).

3 – Phase (230 V) 33/34 – Switch contacts (5 V, 100 mA)

unlocked interlocked

As soon as a voltage of 230 V is applied to the contacts 3 and 4, the bar “A” moves to the other side
after 2 – 10 seconds and blocks the lock lever mechanically. The door cannot be opened. At the
same time, the internal contact “B” opens and disconnects the lock path. The switch contacts 33/
34 close and signal that door lock is completed. The electronic signal completes the lock signal.
Internal contact “C” closes.
For unlocking, a voltage of 230 V must be applied to contacts 2 and 3. The bar “A” moves
backwards and releases the lock lever. The door can be opened provided that the contact f11
(Klixon) is closed.

TSE-N 01.01 A. B. - 14 - 599 50 93 79 EN

4.9.2 Micro switch for telescopic runner

The appliances with pyrolytic self-cleaning system are provided with a micro switch. The switch
contact is interrupted with the grates suspended. Thus the self-cleaning function cannot be
activated. The contact closes and self-cleaning is possible with the telescopic runners removed.

6. Technical equipment
6.1 Fan running on function

The appliances switch on automatically as soon as the baking oven is started. After having
switched off the baking oven, the cooling fan continues to operate in order to cool down the
appliance.

Important: All appliances of this series are provided with this running on function.

The fan after-running is controlled electronically with all appliances. In appliances with pyrolysis, a
resistor is installed additionally (figure 1). The resistor is bypassed during the pyrolysis operation.
Because of this the cross-flow fan is running at an increased speed, as long as the function is in
operation.

6.3 Measures to prevent wrong electrical connection

If a range with pyrolytic self-cleaning system is connected wrongly, the micro processor at the Pris-
ma basic power board recognises this error. It changes over into the fault mode. The error is
reported by the error code display F7 in the display of the oven respectively E7 in the display of the
hot plates. The heaters are dead. The connection error can be corrected. Then the range can be
operated quite normally.

6.4 Thermal link

A thermal link is provided in all appliances at the left side at the air duct, which switches off the
device in case of overheating.

6.5 Safety switching off of hot plates

The hot plates switch off automatically after:

- 6 hours for heating stage 1 - •2
- 5 hours for heating stage 3 – 4
- 4 hours for heating stage •4 - •5
- 1.5 hours for heating stage 6 - 9
unless manually switched off or modified before.

6.6 Safety switching off of baking oven

The baking oven switches off automatically after:

12.5 hours at 30 – 120 °C
8.5 hours at 120 – 200 °C
5.5 hours at 200 – 250 °C
1.5 hours at 250 – 300 °C
unless the temperature was modified or switched of by hand before.

7.2 Measuring the temperature sensor

If a failure at the temperature sensor is assumed, the resistance can be checked by means of an
ohmmeter.
The resistance of the temperature sensor should be 500 – 600 ohms at room temperature.
Make sure to measure the insulation resistance between the metallic housing and each connection
terminal.
The resistance should be higher than 2 MOhms.

door lock bimetallic heater, from lock to unlock and from unlock to lock, a puase of 20 seconds has
been done.

During the test if the door is closed Temperature lamp is on.

To exit from door lock service test, oven function knob must be moved from position 2. The door
lock phase ends when the system reaches the unlock state.

Deactivating

3. Appliance beeps three times
4. Demo mode is active

State:
The appliance can be operated in full (without performance). After reset of the main voltage the
demo mode is preserved. After reset of the main voltage the clock starts at 12.00 and does not
flash.

Deactivating demo mode

1. Switch on appliance (main key P8 on)

2. Press keys P1, P2, P6 and P7 simultaneously
3. Appliance beeps three times
4. Demo mode is not active

9.8 Help in case of baking complaints

The insertion levels 1 – 5 are counted from bottom to top.

Tips for baking

The cake collapses (becomes sticky, soggy, Check recipe, use less liquid, observe
water stripes) agitation times, above all when using kitchen
mixers.
The cake bottom is too light Use a darker mould the next time or insert
cake one level lower.
Cake with moist top coat/cake is not baked Next time bake at a lower temperature and
through, not evenly brown longer baking time.
