Analysis:
Tests on Solid Insulation:
The test results of IR Values, PI & DC absorption ratios are normal considering its age.
The variation of Capacitance values with respect to voltage is normal and the Tan Delta values are
within the permissible limits, i.e. <0.02absolute.
Tests On Core
Magnetization currents are normal.
Magnetic Balance test results are normal.
Test On Bushings:
The variation of Capacitance values with respect to voltage is normal and the Tan Delta values are
within the permissible limits, i.e. <0.007absolute for R&Y- phase. B-phase could not be balanced.
Oil Parameters:
The test parameters of the transformer oil samples are within permissible limits as per IS: 1866- 2000
“The maintenance of transformer oil in service”.
DGA:
The gases generated are within the permissible limits as per relevant Standards.
Furan Analysis:
The total of the Furanic compounds is in the low reliability range.
Conclusion:
Solid insulation is normal.
Conductor and core are normal.
The results of Oil & DGA indicate normal internal condition of the Transformer.
The total of the Furanic compounds is in low reliability range.
B-Phase Bushing could not be balanced.
Recommendation:
All the tests should be carried out after one year to establish the trend analysis of Transformer
& Oil.
All the test results may be retained as bench mark for further analysis.
One more furan test to be conducted within 6 months to know the increasing trend in the
furanic compounds.
B-Phase bushing is in good condition. For normal operation the condenser bushing test tap is
earthed by screw cap with a centre pin which presses on the test tap for test purpose. The Cap
was removed and test tap was connected to C and Tan Delta Bridge for measurement. Most
likely this test Cap is grounded even when Cap is removed. So, C and Tan Delta Bridge
could not be balanced. So, please refer these results to manufacturer for further action. In the
next shutdown one more Megger, Tan Delta and other tests has to be carried out on Bushings.

Tests on Core:
Magnetization Currents are normal.
Excitation current results are normal.
Frequency Response Analysis:
The test results of FRA should be compared with earlier results to arrive at a definite conclusion. How ever taking
present test results as benchmark any further changes can be noticed by conducting FRA test at a later date under
similar conditions.
Oil Parameters:
The tested parameters of the oil sample of this Transformer are within the permissible limits as per IS:1866-2000
“The parameter of Transformer Oil in service”.
DGA:
The gases generated are within the permissible limits as per relevant Standards.
Furan Analysis:
The total of the Furanic compounds is in the normal range.
Conclusion:
Step Voltage results have variation.
Core and Conductor are normal.
Oil and DGA results are normal.
The total of the Furanic compounds is in the normal range.
The test results of FRA may be retained as reference for future guidance.
Recommendation:
All the Condition Monitoring tests should be carried out after one year to establish the trend analysis of
Transformer & Oil.
All the test results may be retained as bench mark for further analysis.
Since the step voltage results have variation, one more test should be repeated within 6 months or as per
your convenience, to know the insulation condition.
