Non operative treatment - immobilization 6-
15 8 weeks, brace

Operative treatment - inform patient the

procedure and the complications (wound
16 necrosis, infection, nerve injury, DVT and PE,
risk for rerupture 2-5%)

Post operative protocol - non weight

bearing 4weeks, walker brace 6 weeks,
17 active ROM exercise only, no passive
stretching 8 weeks
