Hi X,

After six years of research, writing, producing, directing, and editing, Philip J. Marshall has created is
masterpiece: F.S. Key After the Song. In September, Maryland Public Television will release the three-
part documentary series, which provides a window into the antebellum society and attitudes and
behaviors of Americans on slavery that led to Civil War. This docu-drama highlights how events of the
1830’s are extraordinarily similar to current political and social issues today.

Mr. Marshall has been an Executive Producer for Maryland Public Television for more than 10 years. He
recently was the producer and director of historical segments for the three-hour national live Great
Performances concert on PBS - Star Spangled Spectacular. Mr. Marshall is best known in public television
for his work on NYTV: By the People Who Made It, a program celebrating the first 50 years of NY
television and its effects on American society.

Listed in Lexington’s Who’s Who in Media, Mr. Marshall is known for his extensive experience as an
executive producer, senior producer, and film and tape editor, is considered an expert in his field in
digital production and he is also a member of the DGA, Directors Guild of America. All his experience
and extensive knowledge towards historical segments have prepared him to take on his latest project, F.
S. Key After the Song.

I would love to connect you with Philip Marshall, who could discuss the making of the documentary and
the journey that he has taken to bring him where he is today. Please let me know if you’re interested!

Thanks,
Rachel
