Description
The Actuated Ball Valve is comprised of the actuator,
the linkage and the valve body. The standard ball valve
has a stainless steel ball and stem in a bronze body.
Valve sizing ranges from ½ inch to 3 inches or 15mm to
80mm. All stainless steel valves are available upon
request. The full port design is less restrictive providing
high flow characteristics with low pressure drops. The
Valve Selection Chart on page 3 identifies the valve’s
port configuration.
ACTUATION
Once the actuator series, BT/BM, TT/TM or RT/RM,
has been determined, the actual model that meets the
system’s control requirements may be selected. The BT, VALVE BODIES
TT and RT digital motors may be wired for 2 position or 3 Both two and three way valves feature a bronze body
point floating control. with stainless steel trim in standard models.
LINKAGE SYSTEMS
The heavy duty linkage assembly which is comprised of
zinc plated steel directly couples the actuator to the
valve. It is factory assembled and properly adjusted and
tested.

Model Nomenclature
In the diagram below, the valve nomenclature for this series of actuated valve is segmented into its components as
an aid to comprehending Neptronic’s new method of labelling. This departure from previous model numbers will
greatly assist the user in identifying the exact valve and its characteristics once it has been installed.

Model Selection Tables
In Table 1, the various models listed designate the size, type, flow rate and close off pressure of each valve as well
as the actuator group to be used. Select the appropriate valve model. Choose the actuator model from Table 2 based
upon the group indicated in Table 1 and the system requirements. The actuator model is added as a suffix to the
valve model selected to form a complete actuated valve model. Refer to the formula in Table 3.
