cycle may be short for same products & long for some other
products. The period may differ from product to product. But the
product passes through the stages, collectively known as product

b) Low price & a small promotional expenditure budget

If the market is very wide, customers are
unfamiliar with the product & sensitive to the price & the market
is also competitive this strategy is adopted for the quick entry in

The product has given satisfaction to the first buyers.
Salas increase rapidly & product started generate profits.

Prof. V.B. Shah Institute of Management Page 34

Dhanhar Masala Pvt. Ltd.

Maturity:-
The product reaching maturity & sales are good. But
better for market share is about to begin.
At this stage, keen competition increase. Sales
continue to increase for a while, but at decreasing rate.
Competitors go for mark down price by increasing advertising
deals. Market expenses increase, even after mark-down price,
which enable to face competitors. Thus, profits are thinned,
Additional expenses are involved in production modification in the
market. Overall marketing effectiveness becomes the key factors
in this stage.

strategy in Maturity stage & Dhanhar Masala can used all the
strategy,
