ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

Written Assignment: Class Reflection Report (20%)

1. This is an individual report. Students are required to write a class reflection

report on each lesson attended at the host university.

2. The report should include:

a. A summary of the lessons content
b. Reflect on what students have learnt and how it may influence their
studies and personal life

3. The assignment would be at least two (2) pages per lesson (minimum 1 picture to be
included)

4. Formatting:

 Font type: Times New Roman

 Font size : 12
 Line spacing : 2
 Alignment : Justify (top, bottom, left and right margin set as 1”)
 Page number: right, bottom
Group Project (20%)
1. When the students return from the study tour, they would form a group of 3-5.

2. Study abroad enables students to share their experiences and develop global
awareness with the community.

3. In the presentation, students shall demonstrate, and/or share their learning

experiences, skills and knowledge gained, as well as their own perspective on
issues and cultural experiences.

4. Areas of presentation may include but not limited to, language they learnt in
the host university, culture lifestyle in cuisine and places of attraction in the
host country.
Project (60%)
Part A: Individual Daily Journal (30%)

1. Upon arrival in the host university, students will write a daily journal entry
until returning to home university.

2. The journal entry is an on-going record of what they have learnt. It should
include:
a. Their experience
b. Self-reflection

3. This helps students to enhance their awareness; reflect their experiences

abroad; this can also be done by adding up photos in their journal.

4. Formatting:

Part B: Video Presentation (10%)

1. Students would form groups (3 – 5 people) before the study tour to work on a
video journal.

2. A short video during the tour would be made and presented to show the
highlights of the tour.

3. The video has to include all the group members during the tour and it needs to
be creative.

4. The video should be a compilation of short video clips but not slide show of
photographs.

5. The video would be at least 3 minutes long.

Part C: Interview Report (20%)

1. Form a group of 2 students.

2. At least two (2) interviews would be conducted with different international

students during the study tour. Maximum ONE local student is allowed to be
interviewed.

3. The interview would be about the different cultures and lifestyles of the home
country of the international student. It would help to exchange valuable
knowledge and create better understanding on customs, values and beliefs
around the world.

4. The assignment would be at least five (5) pages per interviewee (minimum 1
picture of the person interviewed to be included).

5. It would be written in a dialogue format.
