2005s

Pencils
 A pencil is a writing implement or art medium constructed of a narrow, solid pigment
core inside a protective casing which prevents the core from being broken and/or
from leaving marks on the user’s hand during use.

 Pencil is commonly used for first time learners around nursery level. It was my first
ever media technology used in learning process.

Papers

 Paper is a thin material produced by pressing together moist fibers of cellulose

pulp derived from wood, rags or grasses, and drying them into flexible sheets.

 Paper is considered to be the earliest material used in writing. Without a piece of

paper, taking notes would be impossible.

Books
 A book is a series of pages assembled for easy portability and reading, as well
as the composition contained in it.

 A book contains lot of information. It offers a big help for all the students
providing new ideas and topics.

2008s
Newspaper
 A newspaper is a periodical publication containing written information about
current events.

 Newspaper contains a lot of facts and was the headmost source of information
way back in elementary before anything else.

Radio

 Radio is the technology of using radio waves to carry information, such as

sound, by systematically modulating properties of electromagnetic energy waves
transmitted through space, such as their amplitude, frequency, phase, or pulse
width.

 Radio is one of the sources of information as it broadcast several of news across

the country.

2010s
Television
 Television(TV) is a telecommunication medium used for transmitting moving
images in monochrome(black and white), or in color, and in two or three
dimensions and sound

 The earliest TV brand we had in our home was really amazing as it lasted for a
long time. After years, we purchased a new TV brand which is still functioning
until now. We are all aware that TV's had improved from time to time.

Films

 Film, also called a movie, motion picture, theatrical film, or photoplay, is a series
of still images that when shown on a screen creates an illusion of motion images
(due to the phi phenomenon).

 Watching film is a great way to entertain. Movies just never fail to amuse me ever
since.

2012s
Mobile Phones
 A mobile phone, known as a cell phone in North America, is a portable
telephone that can make and receive calls over a radio frequency link while the
user is moving within a telephone service area.

 Nokia was the first phone I got and it was very popular back then. I was also
exposed to some of the mobile phones that are supported with camera that
allowed us to capture pictures. The quality of the mobile phones had improved a
lot as years passed by.

Telephone

 A telephone, or phone, is a telecommunications device that permits two or more

users to conduct a conversation when they are too far apart to be heard directly.

 When I first tried using telephone, I can't stop myself but tried it over again. I'd
remember I have to pay five pesos for every phone call and I don't really mind
spending coins at all. An old me says, telephones are very impressive.

2014s
Computer
 A computer is a device that can be instructed to carry out arbitrary sequences of
arithmetic or logical operations automatically.

 My exposure to computer technology started in high school. Computers are very

useful in terms of doing research and projects.

Laptop

 A laptop, often called a notebook or "notebook computer", is a small,

portable personal computer with a "clamshell" form factor, an alphanumeric
keyboard on the lower part of the "clamshell" and a thin LCD or LED computer
screen on the upper part, which is opened up to use the computer. Laptops are
folded shut for transportation, and thus are suitable for mobile use.

 I don't have laptop but I have rich friends who owned some so I'd got the chance
to used it once. Laptops are portable to bring and more convenient compared to
computers. But the significance they possessed are similar in many ways.

Netbook
 Netbook is a generic name given to a category of small, lightweight, legacy-free,
and inexpensive laptop computers that were introduced in 2007.

 Netbooks are similar in laptops but difference in size. It is much smaller and more
handy compared to laptop

Tablet

 A tablet computer, commonly shortened to tablet, is a portable PC, typically with

a mobile operating system and LCD touchscreen display processing circuitry,
and is chargeable battery in a single thin, flat package.

 Personally, I prefer using a tablet than a mobile phone because it has a larger
screen. I enjoyed using it especially when playing games and surfing the net.

Brief Description:
My exposure to traditional and new media started in late 2005. It was the
year when I started studying. I can barely remember memories from the past so I
decided to create a timeline beginning at the nursery level. As a student, I
considered pencil and paper as my first ever traditional media along with the
books. In late 2009, newspaper and radio are my sources of information. Television
and films are great for entertainment and also provides information. The following
years are the mark of my exposure to new media. Mobile phones, telephone,
computer, laptop, netbook, tablet are some of the technology I get to used. From
time to time, my exposures to technology are improving and I'm looking forward
for more innovation.
