The objective of the study is to analyze whether the lack of members in Accounting is
department on the grievance committee for the past five year suspicious.

The study consists of a sequence of 5 identical trials- that is record for five years
regarding the number of person from accounting department who has served into the
grievance committee. There are two outcomes possible-success (person selected in
grievance committee from accounting department) and failure (person not selected in
grievance committee from accounting department). The probability of success (0.1) does
not change from trial to trial. The trials are independent-that is selection of one member
into committee does not influence selection of another member. Thus, the number of
members in the accounting department follows binomial probability distribution.

There are 29 volunteers served during year 2013. The probability that for year 2013, no
member has served the committee is 0.0471. Similarly, probability that for year 2014, no
member has served the committee is 0.0382, equivalently, the probability that for year
2015, no member has served the committee is 0.0886, the probability that for year 2016,
no member has served the committee is 0.0646, and the probability that for year 2017, no
member has served the committee is 0.0523. There are 137 volunteers served during 5
years. Therefore, the probability that for five years no member has served the committee
from accounting department is 0.

Except year 2016, in remaining years, there were less than 5% volunteers from the
accounting department. Though selection had been random, the accounting department
has to ensure that more volunteers from accounting department need to submit
application as well as performance should be at the best level. This might increase the
probability that more members from accounting department to be selected.
