Vehicle Cost and Price Spreadsheet Test Case Assignment DUE 11-19-2017

Assignment Narrative

Thank you for your feedback. Our sales management team has evaluated our needs with the IT
manager and have preliminarily agreed upon requirements. The IT manager suggested that before we
finalize the requirements, that our IT staff analyze the requirements and attempt to create test cases for
the requirements.

The Dealership needs a spreadsheet to provide pricing information for our sales floor manager so he can
see how much profit is being made on the car and also provide the customer a printed price quote.

Please create a spread sheet with your suggested test cases for each requirement. We realize some
requirements will have more than one test case.

If you find an ambiguous requirement, please go ahead and provide your test case for the requirement
as written and note your assumptions in the comments for that requirement. If you need a place to
elaborate your assumptions, or state global assumptions, or suggestions, please create a second tab ,
named “Assumptions”, listing this information.

When we review your test cases, we will work with your team to provide any needed clarification if
needed based on your comments.

Place your test cases in a spreadsheet. The IT manager showed me a Test Case example he says his
team is familiar with (as provided in class) and this format is acceptable. Be sure to create distinct
reference numbers for test requirement and test case.

The test cases should be designed for a “Production” test. Other environments do not need to be
considered yet. List your name as the primary tester for each test case.

Please post any questions to the “Sales Manager” on the class discussion board on the forum named
“Dealership Test Case Questions”. This is where further clarification will be provided. Feel free to
respond to any other “Testers” questions or comment. The “Sales Manager” will comment as he can.

If you would like to earn a 20% bonus on the project, create a mock up, with no features or working
calculations, on a separate Excel tab named in Prototype” in the Test Case submission.

Please name the submission file: “FirstLastV-CAPS_TestCases.xls”
