Dear Grand Blanc Community-

Unfortunately, today I must share with you information regarding allegations of

staff misconduct at Grand Blanc High School. On Thursday, January 18th, we
learned about accusations of inappropriate communication and actions by one of
our employees involving a former Grand Blanc High School student. In
cooperation with the Grand Blanc City and Township Police Departments, we
immediately began an investigation into these allegations. The employee was not
on our campus on Thursday, January 18th, when these allegations were brought
forward, but on Friday, January 19th, at approximately 7:15 a.m., when the
employee arrived on campus, based on the information we had obtained, the
employee was taken into custody by the Grand Blanc Township Police
Department.

Due to privacy laws and the ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide
additional details about this situation at this time. What I can share is that we will
continue to cooperate with law enforcement, and will work closely with our own
legal counsel, to ensure that all resources available are brought to bear to
determine the facts of what happened. If the allegations are substantiated, we will
aggressively move to terminate this employee. The safety of students in our care
is our top priority and we will utilize all means possible to ensure it remains our
top priority. We appreciate your support and understanding as we deal with this
very sensitive situation.
