What information did you learn through your research that you will apply to the practicum? Provide 
specific details. ​ Throughout my research I have so far learned as why teachers lose respect, don’t feel 
appreciated and how they can improve student relationships. In a article I read says that teachers as 
well as students work better with recognition of their work. In knowing this information I ​want to see 
how I can make peers and students value one another. I also, want to bring theses new ideas to the 
administration to bring teachers together and then teachers can bring awareness of peer and student 
wellbeing. Many teachers don’t receive respect from their students because in many cases they lose 
students respect and I read an article which gave me tips. From that I can talk to students and teacher 
why teachers lose respect for students and visa versa. 

 
Learning Goals/Outcomes: What will you understand and/or be able to do as a result of your 
practicum? ​What I want to get out of my capstone project is for students like myself to value teachers 
and everything they do for us. I also, want to make teachers feel loved and cared for by their peers 
because I’ve caring common than it already is at Poly. 
 
 
List the steps you will take to complete the practicum and how will you document ​each and every 
step​ for completing your product (emails, photos, videos, interviews- recorded or transcribed, surveys, 
phone call logs, etc...). You may add steps/spaces as needed.

Interview students why they don’t respect teachers and what teachers  Videotape them  
can do for students to respect them  

Make a teacher of the week survey for students and announce who the  Make a copy of the survey

Every teacher of the week will get a brand new white board marker  Take a pic with them 
with a kind note of why they were chosen 

Collect around 100 shoe boxes to make comment boxes for teacher  Make posters  
classroom 

Get help from the leadership class to help me decorate the boxes  Take pictures of all of 
working on them  

Take boxes to teachers and tell the students how it works   Take a picture or video of 
me telling the class  

Go into the class weekly to filter out the bad comments   Take pics of the nice

Learning Stretch: How will this project be a new and meaningful challenge for you? 
This project will be a meaningful challenge for me will be getting to interact with new people because I 
am very shy. Also, I want to make a difference within the teacher-student relationships. Many students 
don’t appreciate everything teachers do for them on the daily and we should be more appreciated of
