  Could any of you please reply to this post.
Date Joined Jun 2007 Couple of weeks back, I started getting teethmarks on my tongue.It

looks like small curves on the lateral sides of my tongue.I was scared
thinking it was an HIV symptom.My PCP told me its because of virus
and put me on valtrex for 1 day.They did not go away.Then I visited
an ENT specialist .She told me that those are teeth marks on my
tongue(scallop tongue) and said i dont need any medication.

But when i read on the internet about teethmarks on tongue, its says
that it is due to liver/spleen disorder.A month ago,ultrasonic scanning
of my abdomen showed mild liver enlargement.

Can u tell me whats happening with me?Is this serious(teeth marks on
tongue)

I would appreciate ur quick response

Hello John, I have not heard of teethmarks on the tongue. But if your
 
test showed mild liver inlargement you should have a complete blood

John, as part of the blood work, you might want to request testing for
 
hepatitis B and C.

Regarding my liver:
Hepatatis A positive(past infection),B,C negative.
Ultrasonic abdomen scanning showed fatty liver.
My ALT is around 96.
Gastroenterologist advised me to watch for diet and exercise.
 
I showed my teethmarks to a dentist,ENT and oral specialist...None
could tell the reason for it and showed no concern.
 
I read on the internet, it said it could be due to liver problems
 
Also please let me know if u hear some thing abt it

I also have from time to time this symptom it comes with aphthas.
Date Joined Jul 2008 it goes after 10 days.
Total Posts : 1  usualy after that I have a cold.
it look like it is a reaction of the budy to the virus.

I think this can be helped by taking Vit B3 supplements. At least that
 
is what I am going to try.
