IECEP History

The IECEP was organized in 1950 by the group of pioneers in the field of Electronics and
Communications in the country. They were, Dean Jose S. Alfonso, who served as the founding
president of the organization, Mamerto Buenafe, Fred Carino, Ciriaco Coronel, Jose Grey, Alfredo
Gella, Ariston Hulinga, Gonzalo Kamantigue, Albino Lara and Venancio Pineda.

IECEP was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under the name of “Institute of
Electronics Engineers of the Philippines, Inc.” The organization still retains its acronym “IECEP.”

IECEP, being accredited professional organization by the Professional Regulations Commission and
mandated to provide continuing professional development to its members to be more competitive,
presents an avenue of gathering of the Philippines’ practicing electronics engineering professionals,
such as – consultants, executives, managers, supervisors, cadet engineers and technicians in the field
of electronics, telecommunications, computers and information technology, broadcasting and cable
TV, manufacturing, semiconductors, construction, power generation, biomedical technology and
the government, the military and the academe.

The institute cordially invites you to attend our 67th Annual General Membership Meeting &
Convention with the theme:

“ENHANCING CAPABILITY OF
GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE
ELECTRONICS ENGINEERS”
The venue of this convention will be at Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center, Efficiency
Street, Subic Bay
Gateway Park, Subic Bay Freeport Zone on November 23-25, 2017.
This three (3) day learning opportunity will be highlighted by series of presentations from industry
experts who will impart their specialized knowledge & skills in the latest trends in technology,
engineering management, engineering best practices, research, scientific studies, professional practice
regulations and the election of our new set of board of directors who will be serving the institute in the
next 2 years. There will also be series of product presentations from our industry partners who will
also showcase their technological solutions in various fields where our engineers and technicians will
play vital roles in innovation and development.

Registration of IECEP membership will start on November 3, nov. 6 until November 8, 2017 at
2nd floor, Don Lorenzo Bldg. in front of PRC.
Procedures:
1. Kindly get membership form in the registration venue or download it on our website iecep.ph or
send email to iecepmembership@gmail.com .
2. Fill up the membership form and please attach your PASSPORT SIZE ID PICTURE WITH NAME
TAG & white background, 1x1 id picture will not be accepted.
3. Deposit your registration fee at BPI;
Account Name: IECEP, Inc
Account Number: 2561-0099-99
For ECE - 1,300.00 php
For ECT - 700.00 php
And write your complete name on the deposit slip. Do not leave your deposit slip to the staff w/out
asking for the official receipt.
4. Just present the membership form with ID picture together with the deposit slip to the secretariat
and wait for the official receipt. Once you register, please ask the staffs for your IECEP chapter.
5. Keep the Official Receipt and present it on the Oath Taking Day to get your ID and Certificate.
Also, always be reminded of your IECEP chapter.
For those who can't register on that dates (Nov. 3- Nov. 10, 2017) at Don Lorenzo Bldg., you can visit
directly to our IECEP National office (Unit 712 Cityland Shaw Tower, Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong
city.) for the registration & bring the requirements.
