Topic: Teen Suicide in Guyana


These are what are needed for the completion of your SBA.
Bibliography – Use APA Style

a. Do an electronic research on the topic and write an essay in no more than 1000
words. Also include a bibliography at the end.
b. Prepare a power point presentation on your research (it has to be emailed to the
teacher and four other students. You have to send the email not as a cc but in the
to box. You have to put the name of the 5 persons you are sending it to, and when
the email is sent, you have to screen shot that page and save it as evidence of
disseminating via e-mail)
3. Assignment 3 –
a. Produce a newsletter (do it in Publisher/ Word) (do an article on teen suicide in
Guyana) (Go and interview a teacher or prefect. You can get some current affairs
article. Put advertisement. Put a little cartoon or fun puzzle for children)
b. A flyer (to advertise your workshop) (do it in Word)
4. A portfolio
a. Letters
i. A two page business letter (block style) (use a table within the letter)
(Write your letter to the Minister of Social Protection telling him/her your
findings on the research you had done on “Teen Suicide in Guyana”)
ii. A circular letter – Invite persons to be facilitators at the workshop and put
a tear-off so that if they agree they will fill it out and return it to you.
b. Manuscript –
i. Report – You had your workshop. Write a report on your workshop
c. Tabular Work – (can be done in Excel or Word) (If done in Excel, your headings
must be oblique, 45o and if using Word, your headings must be vertical)
i. Prepare an invoice for the items you will use for your workshop.
d. Committee Documents – (You are doing your workshop. You have to meet and
plan your workshop. You are holding a meeting with your management
committee. You are going to do your :)
i. Notice of a meeting with an agenda
ii. Minutes of a meeting
e. Display – (You are planning a workshop to educate persons on “Teen Suicide in
Guyana”. You have to get persons to facilitate at the workshop)
i. A programme – (You are planning your workshop, do a program for the
workshop)
ii. Organizational Chart – You have your little committee that you formed to
plan your workshop. Do the organizational chart for that.
f. Legal Work
i. A Lease – Lease a building for your meeting place
ii. A contract of employment
