This farm shop in Pak Chong is the best shop in the world, we think, if only for the fact that it serves food. We love
how rebellious it is: “I’m a shop, not a restaurant!”
The shop also sells organic produce – who says you can’t do marketing and stu your face at the same time? The
sample stalls at Isetan say “yes you can”, and so does the Dairy Home Farm Shop.
This establishment exists in the form of bright red barn buildings and a tree house, which really makes you feel like
you’re at a farm.
Although you might question, since when did farm food taste so amazing? The shop is renowned for its homemade
ice cream, and its Kurobuta (black pig) steak is also highly raved about.

This unique restaurant is lled with all the stu of our childhood dreams, and they go from new-age hottie Captain
America to goofball Inspector Gadget (how long ago was that?). In any case, it’s clear that this restaurant is one for
kids of all ages and sizes.
It helps, too, that the food is probably some of the best that you can get at Nakhon Ratchasima. The restaurant is
famed for its authentic Thai taste, so you’ll de nitely have to get your hands on the papaya salad, fried sh cake and
green curry.
Play like a child and eat like an adult – here’s where you can get the best of both worlds.

5-b. Make your own cow milk ice cream! – Farm Chok Chai
Chok Chai is a top recommendation for those travelling with their family, as the farm is especially good fun for young
kids.
The Agro Tour allows you to not only learn and witness some of the key practices in agriculture, but also organises
workshops where you can put your newfound knowledge to the test.
How about having a go at milking a cow, or even more exciting, making your own milk ice cream? Delicious!

5-e. It’s a sheep paradise! – Khonyok Sheep Farm
Situated in the picturesque Thailand countryside is this popular sheep farm. The sheep are the stars of the show
here, as you get to stroke and feed these charming animals.
For the adults, there is also a decent café at the farm too! An excellent way to spend an afternoon and a lot of fun for
families.

If you’re really excited about meeting elephants and better yet, getting to feed and stroke them…. You’ll be happy to
know that you can, in Khao Yai!
Simply drive along Thanaratch road, and stop the car when you spot the elephants by the road. Interested in feeding
the elephants? Baskets of sugarcane are available at 50 Baht each, for you to interact with the magni cent beasts.
The best time to go would be between 9 to 12, where you’ll get to see the caretakers bathing the elephants –
watching the elephants spraying water in their mouths is a really fun thing to watch (strangely), and you might just
enjoy it too!
Editor’s note:
While elephant rides are available here, we strongly advocate against elephant rides.
Riding elephants can actually cause serious long term harm as their spines are not made to support the weight of
humans. Do try to avoid taking a ride as it is actually harmful to these magni cent animals.

The Bloom is a large garden area of over 100 acres, decorated in a variety of beautiful and colourful owers providing
the ultimate Instagram backdrop.
These ower arrangements snake their way around the garden to create a wonderful bright glow, with the rolling
green hills of Pak Chong district behind them.
More than 30 species of owers come together here, which is a glorious sight for those who enjoy horticulture and
gardening. But let’s be honest, who doesn’t like owers, right?

8. Spot the wild elephants on the road! – Khao Yai National Park
This was the rst national park to become established in Thailand and is now the third largest park in the country.
If it is beautiful countryside scenery and lush evergreen forests you desire, then fear not, you have come to the right
place. The park’s centrepiece is without a doubt the majestic Haew Narok Waterfall.
Otherwise, check out the lesser known Haew Suwat Waterfall that has a truly ethereal cave you might want to explore
too.

Not only are there mesmerising waterfalls to make your trip a memorable one, but the wonderful wildlife spotting
opportunities in the park are similarly impressive – there are wild elephants roaming the park, even on the roads!

9. The Tuscan village for pretty pictures and quirky shopping – Palio
Village
This small shopping village, set amongst the rolling hills of the Thai countryside, is another bite-sized Italian paradise.
Its authentic Tuscan buildings and decorative plazas transport you to the picturesque streets of a rural village in Italy,
with quirky shops to keep you occupied.
Not only can this magni cent complex be enjoyed for the day, located just two and a half hours from Bangkok, but
the on-site hotel means you can indulge in a relaxing evening at Palio as well.

A lovely outdoor activity for the kids that encourages them to be active, just make sure you don’t accidentally leave
