The learners shall be able to: their textbook.
1. design a simple investigation to determine
the effect on boiling point or freezing
point when a solid is dissolved in water

At the end of the lesson, the students will be

able to:
1. Explain what is intermolecular force
2. Discuss the difference between the 3
IM forces
3. Understand the importance of the
kinetic molecular model of matter, and
how it helps scientists in synthesizing
new chemicals/substances.
III. Teaching-Learning Process
A. Review
Students are made to recall the
properties of solid, liquid, and gas.
B. Motivation
Students will be shown a 3D animation
of the kinetic molecular models of
solid, liquid, and gas.
C. Procedure
1. A 40 minute discussion will
commence discussing kinetic
molecular model of matter
while using the 3D animations
as models.
2. A 30 minute discussion will
commence on what
Intermolecular Force is.
3. A 40 minute discussion will
commence on the different IM
forces.
4. Students will be grouped
according to their RT and will
be given an activity sheet. A
puzzle game namely “Structure
Maze”.
