engage the CGV was
announced to the
community by the UNRA
Executive Director during
her last visit from 04th –
05th Jan 2017.
On 17th January 2017, the
Contractor submitted a
copy of the report
prepared by the
Kamwenge District
officials to the Chief
Government Valuer for
assessment and review.
The result of the review is
awaited.
In view of the above, on
the 30th Jan 2017, the
UNRA land acquisition
team together with the
Consultant and Contractor
conducted a community
engagement in a move to
value the losses of the
Kamwenge community
members. The UNRA team
carried out the valuation

exercise and produced a

report. This report was
submitted to the CGV for
evaluation and approval
before any compensation
is made. Approval from
CGV is still awaited as at
28th February 2017.
KIKO QUARRY

Kiko Crusher plant to their

accommodation.

the 3rd and last installment
amounting to 300,000/- for

each of the 8 PAPs that

were relocated away from
the crusher plant.
