Note: Hypotenuse is the opposite side of right angle (90°) of


any right-angled triangle and it is the longest side. But Base
and Altitude are respective side. These are depend on the
given angle (like  is the given angle here).
For an example, let  is the given angle (see the above
figure). Therefore, Altitude is the opposite side of the given
angle other than right angle and the remaining side is said to
be Base or we can say Base is the adjacent side of the given
angle (  ) of right-angled triangle.
