WEEKLY PUBLICATION FOR PARENTS
Issue # 18 Week of January 29 — FEBRUARY 2 SY1718
Dear Parents,
What’s
In Thursday’s Parent Coffee Tom introduced parents to the
e ?
“Healthy Minds Wellbeing Wheel.” As you can see from the

graphic, this breaks down the concept of wellbeing into 6 differ-
ent areas. He suggested that this tool can be used by adults and
children alike to conduct an audit of their personal wellbe-
ing. Tom recommends that individuals rate themselves out of
10 for each of the 6 components and then try to identify two of
three action steps they can take immediately. For example, in
the area of ‘Primary Relationships’ someone may decide to call
their parents once a week instead of once a month. Rating each
area out of 10 allows individuals to clearly see if they have a Athletics & Activities 3
relative strength or a relative weakness in any of the 6 areas. If
an area of growth is illuminated, you can then consider how to MS Track and Field 5
‘kick-start’ this particular aspect of your wellbeing.
