WRITTEN TEST TEMPLATE

INSTRUCTIONS

Please read the following instructions carefully:

1. Our Test is divided into four (04) / five (05) sections.

2. Total Time Allowed for Test is 45~60 minutes.

3. Limited amount of time will be given to complete each section; time for each section may vary
accordingly.

4. Use of mobile phones and calculator is prohibited.

5. There will be no negative marking, in case of overwriting marks will be deducted.

SECTION A (Field Related / Specialized)

Maximum time: 20 minutes

Weightage in test: 50%

Questions asked in this section are based on an individual’s knowledge about his/her subject of
specialization. The purpose of this section is to measure candidate’s understanding and learning about
his/her field of interest.

Note: this section may vary according to the job title and department in which a candidate is applying for.

Sample Question:

Identify the Correct Answer (Mark Your Choice on the Answer Sheet)

1. Carbonizing is the process of:

a. Stress relieving
b. Case hardening
c. Material softening

2. Which fuel is not used in spark ignition engine?

SECTION B (English)

Maximum time: 10 minutes.

Weightage: 15%

This section comprises of 15 questions.

This section is of Basic English which includes grammar, vocabulary, tenses and sentence structuring etc.
The purpose of this section is to access an individual’s proficiency and command on English language
which would help in measuring his/her communication and writing skills.

SECTION C (Word Problems)

Maximum time: 15 minutes

Weightage: 15%

This section will include mathematical word problems to gauge an individual’s mathematical and
analytical skills and his/her capability to solve problems using these skills.

Section D (Arithmetic/Mental Math/Word Series)

Maximum time: 15 minutes

Weightage: 20%.

This section will include quick, mental math and word series questions candidates are required to solve
these questions without the use of any sort of calculating device. The purpose of this section is to access
and measure candidates’ mental sills, processing, and stimulation.
