All living things need food in order to survive. In an ecosystem, the plants are the
primary source of food. Green plants make food for their own nourishment and for others. When
the herbivores and omnivores eat plants, the food becomes food for and part of the body of the
eater.
Food therefore flows from one organism to another. A series of organisms in which the
process of eating and being eaten is repeated is known as a food chain. A complete food chain
starts with a green plant to the 1st order consumer (herbivore) to the second order consumer to

Have you experience taking the body temperature of your brother or sister with a
thermometer when he or she has a fever? isn't it difficult to take babies’ temperature? For sure,
you know how irritable children are when they are sick, and it’s very hard to keep them still
while you hold the thermometer to their armpits.
Now there’s an easter way to take babies’ temperature. This is through a digital
thermometer designed to be indistinguishable from a standard pacifier. It has a temperature
sensing device found inside a rubber nipple which records the heat of the child’s mouth and
transmits the information to an electronic circuit band located under the liquid crystal display
(LCD) window of the unit. The process takes approximately five minutes. When the
thermometer has registered the child’s temperature, the device will produce a beeping sound. It’s
so convenient to use specially for busy mothers.
