DUA’A YASTASHEER

Ibna Tawus in Muhaj al-Dawat and Kafami in al-Misbah narrate this supplication on the
authority of Moula Ali (asws) who learnt it from the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be
upon him and his progeny). The Holy Prophet (saw) advised Him to recite this supplication
regularly, whether in prosperity or poverty, till death, because it unveils the secrets of creation
and divine strategy. This supplication is recommended for the removal of all troubles and
worries, and it is recommended that it be performed with ablution.

‫ﻫﻮ‬ ‫ﻻ‬ ‫إ‬ ‫ﻪ‬ ‫ـ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫إ‬ ‫ﻻ‬ ‫ي‬ �‫ا‬

‫ﷲ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫اﻟ‬
All praise is due to Allah. There is no alhamdo lil-iahil-iazi la ilaha

god but He, ilia howa

ُ ُ ُ ّ َ ُ ِ َ ‫اﻟ‬
‫ﺒﲔ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ‫ﻖ‬ ‫ﺤ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻤ‬
the King, the Truth that makes all al-malekool-haqqool-mobeen
things manifest
He is the Administrator without any al-modabbero, bela wazirin ْ ‫اﻟْﻤﺪﺑﺮ ﺑﻼ وزﻳﺮ وﻻ ﺧ ْﻠﻖ ﻣ‬
‫ﻦ ِﻋﺒﺎ ِد ِه‬
minister and without consultation wa la khalqin min ibadehi ِ ٍ َ َ ٍ َ ِ ُّ ِ َ ُ
،ُ ‫� َ ْﺴ�َﺸﲑ‬
yastasheer
with any of his servants.

،‫ﻮف‬ ٍ ‫ﺻ‬ ‫ل َﻏﲑ ُﻣ ْﻮ‬ ُ ‫ﻷ َّو‬ َ ‫ا‬
He is the First, who cannot be al-awwalo ghairo mawsoofin
described. ُ َ
ْ ْ ْ ْ
،‫ﺨﻠ ِﻖ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ‫ء‬ ‫ﻨﺎ‬ ‫ﻓ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﻲ‬ ‫ﺒﺎﻗ‬ ‫واﻟ‬
He is Eternal and will live forever, wal-baqi ba'da fanaa'il khalq
(even) after the annihilation of all َ ِ َ َ َ َ
creatures.

،‫ﻮﺑ َّﻴ ِﺔ‬
ِ ُ ُ ّ ُ َ ‫اﻟ‬
‫ﺑ‬ ‫اﻟﺮ‬ �‫ﻈ‬‫ﻌ‬
He is the greatest Cherisher and al' azimoor-roboo-bi-yate,

the Light of the earths and heavens nooroos-samawate wal'
and their Creator and Maker out of arzeena wa fatiro homa wa ِ ُ ُ

mobtade’ohoma
nothing. ‫ﻋ ُﻬﻤﺎ‬
ُ ‫َوﻣُﺒ َﺘ ِﺪ‬
ً ْ ْ
‫ﺧ َﻠ َﻘ ُﻬﻤﺎ وﻓَﺘ َﻘ ُﻬﻤﺎ ﻓَﺘﻘﺎ‬َ ٍ َ َ ِ ‫ِﺑ َﻐ‬
‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﲑ‬
He created both of them without be-ghaire amadin
any pillars and separated them – a khalaqahoma wa َ َ
fataqahoma fatqan
proper separation.

‫ﻃﺎ�ﻌﺎت ِﺑﺄَ ْﻣ ِﺮ ِه‬
ِ ‫ﻤﺎوات‬‫اﻟﺴ‬
َّ ‫ﺖ‬
ِ ‫ﻘﺎﻣ‬ ‫ﻓ‬
Thus the heavens became stable in faqamatis-sama-wato ta'ea
obedience to His commandment tin be-' amrehi ُ َ َ

(‫ﻷ ْر ِض‬ ‫اﺳﺘ َﻘﺮ‬ ْ ‫و‬

َ ‫رﺿﻮ َن )ا‬ ‫ﻷ‬
َ ‫تا‬
and the earths became fixed on the wastaqarratil arazoona be-
surface of the water with their pegs. aw-tadeha fawqal-maae
ُ َ ِ َّ َ َ
ْ ْ
،‫ِﺑﺄَ ْوﺗﺎ ِدﻫﺎ ﻓَﻮ َق اﻟﻤﺎ ِء‬
ْ

ٰ ‫ﻤﺎوات اﻟ ُﻌ‬ ‫ُ� ﻋﻼ ر ّ ُﺑﻨﺎ ِﰲ اﻟﺴ‬
Then our Lord subdued the high thoomm ala rabbona fis

heavens samawatil'ola
َ َ َ َّ
The Most Gracious is firmly ar-rahmano ' alal'arshis-tawa
ٰ ‫اﺳﺘ‬
،‫ﻮى‬ ْ ‫�ش‬ ْ ْ‫� اﻟ‬
ٰ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﻦ‬�‫ﺮ‬
ْ
َّ‫اَﻟ‬
established on the throne (of َ ِ َ َ َ ُ
authority)

‫ﻷ ْر ِض وﻣﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻤﺎوات وﻣﺎ ِﰲ ا‬ ‫اﻟﺴ‬
َّ ‫َ� ُﻣﺎ ِﰲ‬
Everything that is in heaven and in lahoo ma fis-samawate wa
the earth and in between them and ma fil arze wa ma
َ َ ِ
ْ
‫ﺑ ْﻴ َ�ُﻤﺎ وﻣﺎ َﺗﺤ‬
bainahooma wa ma tahtath-
what is below the earth belongs to ٰ َ‫اﻟﺜ‬
،‫ﺮى‬ ّ ‫ﺖ‬ َ َ

Him. َ
ْ ْ
‫ﻚ أَﻧﺖ اﷲ ﻻ راﻓِﻊ ﻟِﻤﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﺄ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫ﻓﺄ ﻧ ﺎ أ‬
So, I bear witness that verily You are fa'ana ash-hado be-annaka
Allah. There is none to elevate what antal-lahoo la rafe'a lema
َ ُ َ َ َّ ِ ُ َ َ َ َ َ

waza'ta
You have lowered ،‫و َﺿﻌﺖ‬
َ َ
ْ
،‫واﺿﻊ ﻟِﻤﺎ رﻓَﻌﺖ‬ ‫وﻻ‬
And no one to lower what You have wa la waze'aa lema rafa'ta
elevated َ َ َ ِ َ
ْ ْ ْ
،‫ﻦ أَذﻟَﻠﺖ‬ ‫وﻻ ﻣ ِﻌ َّﺰ ﻟِﻤ‬
and no one to exalt him whom You wa la mo'izza leman azlal-ta
leave in disgrace َ َ ُ َ
ْ ْ ْ
َ ‫َوﻻ ﻣُ ِﺬ َّل ﻟِ َﻤﻦ أَﻋ َﺰز‬
،‫ت‬
and no one to bring into disgrace wa la mozilla leman aa’zazta
him whom You exalt
ْ
،‫وﻻ ﻣﺎ ِﻧﻊ ﻟِﻤﺎ أَﻋﻄَ ْﻴﺖ‬
and no one to prevent him upon wa la mane'a lema aa'taita
whom You bestow Your favour َ َ َ
ْ ْ
‫ﻄﻲ ﻟِﻤﺎ ﻣﻨَﻌﺖ‬ ‫وﻻ ﻣﻌ‬
and no one to bestow anything, wa la mo'teeya lema mana’ta
َ َ ِ ُ َ
which You have withheld. َ

neither the stable sky nor the broad samaa’oon mabni-yatoon w َ َ َّ ِ َ َ ُ َ َ ِ َ ُ
ala arzon madheyatoon ٌ ْ
earth ‫ﺣ َّﻴﺔ‬ ِ ‫َﻣﺪ‬
ْ ٌ ٌ ْ
‫ﻀﻴـﺌﺔ وﻻ ﻟَ ْﻴﻞ ﻣﻈ ِﻠ ٌﻢ وﻻ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺲ‬ٌ �
َ ‫َوﻻ‬
nor the brilliant sun nor the dark wa la shamsoon mozee'atoon
night, nor the bright day, wa la lailoon moozlemoon wa
َ ُ َ َ ُ
ٌ ٌ �
la naharoon mozi’oon
،‫ﻀﻴـﻰء‬ ‫ﺎر ﻣ‬ َ
ُ
ٌ
nor the vast and stormy sea, nor any wa la bahroon lojji-yoon wa
،‫راس‬ ‫ﻞ‬ ‫ﻲ وﻻ ﺟﺒ‬ ٌ ِ ‫وﻻ ﺑ ْﺤ ٌﺮ ﻟﺠـ‬
sublime and stable mountain, la jabaloon rasin ٍ َ َ َ ُّ َ َ
ٌ ْ
،‫ وﻻ َﻗﻤ ٌﺮ ﻣﻨﲑ‬،‫ﺳﺎر‬ ‫وﻻ َﻧﺠ ٌﻢ‬
nor any revolving planet, nor the wa la najmoon sarin wa la
luminous moon, qamroom mooniroon
ُ َ َ ٍ َ

،‫ﻜﺐ‬ ْ ٌ ٌ ‫وﻻ‬
ُ ‫ وﻻ َﺳﺤﺎب �َﺴ‬،‫ﺐ‬ � ‫رﻳﺢ‬
nor any blowing wind, nor any wa la reehoon tahoobbo wa
raining cloud, la sahaboon yaskobo
ُ ُ
َ ّ ُ َ َ
ٌ ْ ْ ٌ
،‫ وﻻ رﻋﺪ �ُﺴ ّﺒـِﺢ‬،‫وﻻ ﺑ ْﺮق ﻳﻠﻤﻊ‬
nor flashing lightning, nor any wa la barqun yalma’oo wa la
ُ َ َ َ ُ َ َ َ َ
ra'doon yoosabbeho
praising thunder,
nor any breathing soul, nor any wa la roohoon tanaffaso wa
،ُ‫ﻃﺎ� ٌﺮ ﻳﻄﲑ‬ ٌ ‫وﻻ ر‬
‫ وﻻ‬،‫وح َﺗﻨَ ّ َﻔﺲ‬
flying bird, la taa'eroon yateero
َ ِ َ ُ ُ َ
nor any blazing fire, nor any flowing wa la naroon tatawaq-qado
‫ وﻻ ﻣﺎءٌ ﻳﻄّ َ ِﺮد‬،‫ﺪ‬ ٌ ‫وﻻ‬
‫ﻧﺎر َﺗﺘﻮ ّ َﻗ‬
water. wa la maa'oon yatredo
ُ َ َ ُ ََ َ
You existed before the existence of koonta qabla koolle shai'in
‫� ٍء‬ ْ ِ ‫ﻛﻨْﺖ ﻗ ْﺒﻞ ﻛ ّﻞ‬
everything َ ُ َ َ َ ُ
and You created everything wa kaw-wanta koolla shai'in
‫� ٍء‬ ْ ‫وﻛﻮ ْﻧﺖ ﻛ ّ َﻞ‬
َ ُ َ َّ َ َ
ْ ِ ‫� ﻛ ّﻞ‬
‫� ٍء‬ ْ
َ ُ ٰ ‫ت َﻋ‬ َ ‫َو َﻗ َﺪر‬
and controlled everything wa qadarta ' ala koolle shai'in

and originated everything. wab- tada'ta koolla shai'in

‫� ٍء‬ ْ ‫و ْاﺑﺘﺪ ْﻋﺖ ﻛ ّ َﻞ‬
َ ُ َ َ َ َ
You enriched some and reduced wa aghnaita wa afqarta
‫ت‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ْ ‫وأ َ ْﻏﻨ ْﻴﺖ وأَﻓْﻘ‬
others to poverty, َ َ َ َ َ َ
ْ ‫وأﻣﺖ وأ‬
‫ﺣﻴ ْﻴﺖ‬
caused some to die and brought wa amatta wa ahaita
others to life, َ َ َ َ َّ َ َ َ

and made some people glad and wa azhakta wa abkaita
‫ﻜﻴﺖ‬ ْ ‫وأَﺿﺤﻜﺖ وأَﺑ‬
others weep. َ َ َ َ َ َ
‫اﺳﺘﻮ ْﻳﺖ‬ ْ ‫� اﻟْ�ش‬
ِ َ ٰ َ ‫َو َﻋ‬
Verily You rule from the Throne. wa ' alal'arshis-tawaita
َ ََ
ْ
،‫ﻓَﺘﺒﺎرﻛﺖ ﻳﺎ اَﷲ و َﺗﻌﺎﻟَ ْﻴﺖ‬
You are of vast blessing, O Allah You fataba-rakta ya allaho wa
are Great and Supreme. ta'alaita
َ َُ َ َ َ
ْ ْ
‫ا�ي ﻻ ِإﻟ ٰـﻪ ِإﻻّ أَﻧﺖ‬ َ ّ ‫أَﻧﺖ اﷲ‬
You are Allah and there is no god antal-lahool-lazi la ilaha illa
other than You. anta

You are the Creator and Supporter. al-khallaqool-mo’eeno

،‫ﻚ ﻧﺎ ِﻓﺬ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫و‬ ‫ﺐ‬
Your Decree is overpowering and amroka ghaliboon wa ilmoka
Your Knowledge is operative. nafezoon َ ُ ِ َ َ ُ
ٌ ْ ٌ � ‫وﻛ ْﻴﺪك‬
،‫ﺪ َك ﺻﺎ ِدق‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫و‬ ‫و‬ ، ‫ﻳﺐ‬
Your strategy is wonderful; Your wa kaidoka ghariboon wa
promise is true; wa'doka sadeqoon ُ َ َ َ َ ُ َ َ
ٌ ْ ْ ٌ
Your word is right; Your command is wa qawloka haqqoon wa
،‫ﻚ ﻋﺪل‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻜ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫و‬ ‫ﻖ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ْ ‫وﻗ‬
just; hookmoka ' adloon
َ َ ُ ُ َ َ َ َ َ ّ ُ
ْ ‫ وو‬،‫ﺪى‬
،‫ﻚ ﻧﻮ ٌر‬ ‫ﻴ‬‫ﺣ‬ ً ‫ﻛﻼﻣﻚ ﻫ‬

Your utterance is right guidance; wa kalamoka hoodan wa
Your Revelation is noor; wah-yoka nooroon
ُ َ ُ َ َ
ْ ٌ ْ
،ٌ�‫ وﻋﻔﻮ َك ﻋﻈ‬،‫واﺳﻌﺔ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﺘ‬
َ ُ َ ‫َو َر‬

Your mercy is vast and abundant; wa rah-matoka wase'atoon
Your forgiveness is superb; wa ' afwoka ' azimoon
َ ُ َ َ َ ِ
ٌ ٌ ْ
،‫ﻄﺎؤ َك ﺟﺰﻳﻞ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫و‬ ، ‫ﺜﲑ‬ ‫ﻛ‬َ َ ُ َ‫َوﻓ‬‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﻀ‬
Your grace is excessive; Your gift is wa fazloka katheeroon wa
most respectable ataa'oka jazeeloon
َ ُ َ َ
ٌ ْ ‫ وإ‬،ٌ‫وﺣ ْﺒﻠﻚ ﻣﺘﲔ‬
،‫ﻚ ﻋﺘﻴﺪ‬ ‫ﻜﺎﻧ‬ ‫ﻣ‬
Your cord is strong; Your might is wa habloka mateenoon wa
ever ready imkanoka ' atidoon
َ َ ُ ِ َ َ َ ُ َ َ
ٌ ْ
،‫ﻚ َﺷﺪﻳﺪ‬ ٌ
َ ُ ‫ َو َﺑﺄ‬،‫ﺟﺎر َك َﻋﺰﻳﺰ‬
‫ﺳ‬ ‫و‬
Your protégé is powerful; Your wa jaroka ' azizoon wa
ُ َ
basoka shadeedoon wa
wrath is severe; and Your stratagem makroka makeedoon
ٌ ْ
‫وﻣﻜﺮ َك ﻣﻜﻴﺪ‬
is entrapping
َ ُ َ َ
ْ ْ
O Lord! With You are lodged all ٰ‫ب ﻣ ْﻮ ِﺿﻊ ﻛُ ّﻞ ِ ﺷﻜﻮى‬ ‫ر‬ ‫ﻳﺎ‬ ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫أ‬

shakwa
complaints.

‫ﺣﺎﺿﺮ ﻛُ ّﻞ ِ ﻣﻼ َ ٍء‬
You are present in all gatherings, wa hazero koolle mala'in
َ ِ
ُ
ٰ ‫ﺠ‬ْ
،‫ﻮى‬ ‫ﺪ ﻛُ ّﻞ َِﻧ‬
ُ ‫ﺷﺎﻫ‬
ِ ‫َو‬
and are the witness of all secrets, wa shahido koolle najwa

and the ultimate goal of all
supplications,
the expeller of all sorrows,
ْ
‫ﻣﻨ َ� ٰﻰ ﻛُ ّﻞ ِ ﺣﺎﺟ ٍﺔ‬
moontaha koolle hajatin
َ ُ
‫ﻣ َﻔﺮ ِج ﻛُ ّﻞ ِ ﺣ ْﺰ ٍن‬
mofarrejo koolle hooznin
ُ ُ ّ ُ

‫ﻜﲔ‬ ْ
ٍ ‫ﻨﻰ ﻛُ ّﻞ ِ ِﻣﺴ‬
ٰ ‫ِﻏ‬
the affluence of every needy person, ghena koolle mis-keenin

ْ
‫ب‬
ٍ ‫ﻫﺎر‬
ِ ِ ‫ﺣﺼﻦ ُﻛُ ّﻞ‬
the stronghold for every refugee, hisno koolle harebin
ِ

،‫ﺧﺎ� ٍﻒ‬ ِ ِ ‫أَﻣﺎنُ ﻛُ ّﻞ‬

security for everyone who is terror- amano koolle khaa'efin
stricken,
ْ ْ ْ
،‫ﻛﻨﺰ اﻟﻔُ َﻘﺮا ِء‬ ‫اﻟﻀﻌﻔﺎ ِء‬ ‫ﺣ ِﺮ ُز‬
a shield for the weak, a treasure for hirzooz-zo'afaa'e kanzool-
the indigent, foqaraa'a
ُ َ َ ُ ّ
ْ
،َ‫ﻟﺼﺎﻟِﺤﲔ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ﻌﲔ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ء‬ ‫ﺎ‬
ّ ُ ُ َ ّ َ ‫ِج اﻟ‬‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻐ‬ ‫ﻣﻔﺮ‬
the destroyer of grief, the helper of mofarrejol ghamaa'ay
ِ
ُ ّ َُ
mo'eenoos saleheena
the virtuous.

،‫ﻫﻮ‬ ٰ
َُ ‫ﻻ‬ّ ‫ﻚ اﷲ ُر ّﺑُﻨﺎ ﻻ ِإﻟ ٰـ َﻪ ِإ‬ ِ ‫ذﻟ‬
Such is Allah, our Lord. There is no zalekal-laho robbona la ilaha
god but He. ilia howa
َ َ
ْ
‫ﻚ‬ ْ ْ ْ
َ ‫ﻛ َﻞ َﻋ َﻠﻴ‬َ ّ ‫َﺗﻜ ِﻔﻲ ِﻣﻦ ِﻋﺒﺎ ِد َك ﻣﻦ َﺗﻮ‬
You satisfy such of Your servants as takfee min 'ibadeka man

tawak-kala, alaika
trust unto You.
You are the protector of him who is wa anta jaro, man laz abeka
‫ﻚ‬ ْ ‫ﻦ ﻻذ ﺑﻚ وﺗﻀﺮع إﻟ‬
‫ﻴ‬ ْ ‫وأ ْﻧﺖ ﺟﺎر ﻣ‬
firmly attached to You and wa tazarra'a ilaika َ َ ِ َ َّ َ َ َ َ ِ َ َ ُ َ َ َ
humiliates himself before You,
ْ ْ ‫ﻋ‬
‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﺼ‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫اﻋ‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻣ‬ ‫ﺔ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﺼ‬
a shield for him who seeks refuge 'ismato man'etasama beka
with You, َ َ َ َ ِ َ َ ِ
ِ ُ
ْ
‫ﻚ‬
َ َ َ َ ‫ﻦ‬
‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﺼ‬ ‫ﺘ‬ ‫اﻧ‬ ِ ‫ﻧﺎﺻ ُﺮ َﻣ‬
the help of him who looks up to You nasiro manin- tasara beka
for help, ِ ِ
ْ ْ ْ
،‫اﺳﺘﻐ َﻔﺮ َك‬ ‫ﻦ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫ﻮب‬ ‫ﻧ‬ �‫ا‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻔ‬ ‫ﻐ‬ ‫ﺗ‬
the forgiver of sins for him who begs taghfirooz-zonooba lemanis-
ِ ُ ّ ِ
َ َ ِ َ َ ُ ُ َ
tagh-faraka
for Your pardon,
ْ
،‫ﺒﺎﺑﺮ ِة‬ ‫ﺠ‬ ‫ﺟﺒﺎر اﻟ‬
the compiler of the tyrants, jab-barool-jababerate
ِ

the best of all forgivers, khairool ' ghafereena

the satisfier of the needs of the qazi hawaa'ejil-mo'meneena
beliving َ ِ َ

َ‫اﻟﺼﺎﻟِﺤﲔ‬ ّ ‫ﻐﻴﺚ‬
ُ ُ‫ﻣ‬
and the hearer of the appeals of the mogheesoos-saleheena
virtuous.

،‫ﻤﲔ‬ ‫ﻌﺎﻟ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ‫ب‬ ‫ر‬ ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫أ‬ ‫ﻻ‬ ‫إ‬ ‫ﻪ‬‫ـ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫إ‬ ‫ﻻ‬ ‫اﷲ‬ ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫أ‬
You are Allah, there is no god but antal-laho la ilaha illa anta
You. You are the Cherisher and rabbool' alameena َ َ ُّ َ َ َ ّ ٰ

Sustainer of all the worlds

‫ق‬ ‫ﻠﻮ‬ ‫َﻣﺨ‬ �
‫ال‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻧ‬َ َ َ ُ ِ ‫ﺖ اﻟ‬
‫أ‬‫و‬ ‫ﻖ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫ﺨﺎ‬ ‫أﻧ‬
You are the Creator and I am the antal-khaliqo wa anal-
created makhlooqo ُ ُ َ َ

‫ك‬
ُ ُ َ َ َ َ ُ ِ ‫ﺖ اﻟ‬
‫ﻠﻮ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻧ‬‫أ‬ ‫و‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻟ‬ ‫ﻤﺎ‬ ‫وأﻧ‬
You are the Master and I am a wa antal-maliko wa anal-
servant, mamlooko

wa antar-raziqo wa anal-
‫وق‬ ‫ز‬‫ﺮ‬ْ ‫وأ َ ْﻧﺖ اﻟﺮازق وأَﻧﺎ اﻟْﻤ‬
marzooqo ُ ُ َ َ َ ُ ِ ّ َ َ

You are the Giver while I am a wa antal-mo'tee wa anas-

‫ﺎ� ُﻞ‬‫اﻟﺴ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻧ‬َ ‫أ‬‫و‬ ْ ‫وأ َ ْﻧﺖ اﻟْﻤ ْﻌ‬

beggar, saa'elo ِ ّ َ َ ُ َ َ
ْ ْ ْ
،‫ﺨﻴﻞ‬
ُ َ َ َ ُ َ ‫ﺖ اﻟ‬
‫ﺒ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻧ‬ ‫أ‬ ‫و‬ ‫ﻮاد‬ ‫ﺠ‬ ‫وأﻧ‬
You are the Generous while I am a wa antal-jawado wa anal-
miser. bakheelo َ َ َ َ

‫ﻌﻴﻒ‬ َ ّ َ َ ُ ّ ِ َ ‫ﺖ اﻟ‬
‫اﻟﻀ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫أ‬‫و‬ ‫ي‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻘ‬ ‫وأﻧ‬
You are the Mighty while I am weak, wa antal-qawi-yo wa anaz-
za'eefo ُ َ َ َ َ
ْ ْ
،‫ﻟﻴﻞ‬ �‫ا‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻧ‬ ‫أ‬ ‫و‬ ‫ﺰﻳﺰ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫وأﻧﺖ اﻟ‬
You are the Noble while I am wa antal-' azizo wa anaz-
humble. zaleelo ُ َّ َ َ ُ َ َ َ َ َ
ْ ْ ْ
،ُ‫وأَﻧﺖ اﻟ َﻐﻨِﻲ وأ َ َﻧﺎ اﻟ َﻔﻘﲑ‬
You are the independent while I am wa antal-ghaniyo wa anal-

faqiro
needy.
You are the Master while I am a wa antas-sayyedo wa anal-
،‫ﺪ‬ ْ ‫وأ ْﻧﺖ اﻟﺴﻴـﺪ وأﻧﺎ اﻟْﻌ‬
‫ﺒ‬
slave. abdo ُ َ َ َ َ ُ ِ ّ َّ َ َ َ

‫وأَﻧﺖ اﻟﻐﺎﻓِﺮ وأ َ َﻧﺎ اﻟ ُﻤﺴـﻴﺊ‬
You are the Forgiver of sins while I wa antal-ghafiro wa anal-

،‫ﺠﺎﻫ ُﻞ‬ ِ ‫ﺖ اﻟﻌﺎﻟِﻢ َوأ َ َﻧﺎ اﻟ‬ ‫وأﻧ‬
You are the All Knowing while I am wa antal-alimo wa anal-jahilo
ignorant. ُ َ َ َ

،‫ﻮل‬
ُ ُ َ َ َ ُ َ ‫ﺖ اﻟ‬
‫ﺠ‬ ‫ﻌ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ‫ﺎ‬‫ﻧ‬ ‫أ‬ ‫و‬ �‫ﻠ‬ ‫ﺤ‬ ‫وأﻧ‬
You are the forbearing while I am wa antal-hakeemo wa anal-
hasty. 'ajoolo َ َ َ َ
ْ ْ ْ
،‫وأَﻧﺖ اﻟﺮ�ﻦ وأ َ َﻧﺎ اﻟﻤ ْﺮﺣﻮم‬
You are the All-Merciful and I have wa antar-rahmano wa-anal-
been treated with mercy. marhoomo

ْ ْ ‫وأ ْﻧﺖ اﻟْﻤ‬
،ٰ�‫ﻌﺎﰲ وأ َ َﻧﺎ اﻟ ُﻤ ْﺒﺘ‬
You are the Provider of safety but I wa antal-mo'aafee wa anal-
am involved in suffering. moobtala

،‫ﻄﺮ‬ ‫ﻀ‬ ‫ﻤ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫أ‬‫و‬ ‫ﺠﻴﺐ‬ ‫اﻟﻤ‬
ُ َ َ ‫َوأ‬‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﻧ‬
You are the Responder and I am the wa antal-mojeebo wa anal-
distressed. mooztarro

ْ ْ ْ
antal-laho la ilaha illa ant ‫ﻻ أَﻧﺖ‬ ‫ﻚ أَﻧﺖ اﷲ ﻻ ِإﻟ ٰـﻪ ِإ‬ ‫ﺄﻧ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫وأﻧﺎ أ‬
And I bear witness that verily You wa ana-ash-had be' annaka
are Allah, there is no god but You َ ّ َ ُ َ َ َّ ِ ُ َ َ َ َ َ

You bestow favours upon Your al-mo'tee. ibadeka bela
so’alin
slaves even without their asking.

‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ﻷ‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ﺪ‬‫ﻮاﺣ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ‫اﷲ‬ ‫ﺖ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫أ‬ ‫ﻚ‬ ‫ﻧ‬ ‫ﺄ‬‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻬ‬ ‫ﺷ‬ ‫وأ‬
And I bear witness that verily You wa ash-hado be-anneka
are Allah, the One, the Only, antal-lahool-wahidoo. ahad ُ َ َ ُ ِ ُ َ َ َ َّ َ ِ ُ َ َ َ

‫ﺪ اﻟ َﻔ ْﺮد‬ ‫ﻤ‬
ُ َ َ ّ ُ ّ َ َ ُ ‫اﻟ‬
‫اﻟﺼ‬ ‫ِد‬ ‫ﺮ‬ ‫ﻔ‬‫ﺘ‬ ‫ﻤ‬
the Unique, the Independent, the al -mootafarredoos -
Single, samadool- fard

،ُ‫ﻚ اﻟﻤﺼﲑ‬ ‫وإﻟﻴ‬
and verily to You we must return. wa ilaikal-maseero
َ َ َِ َ
ْ
‫� ﻣﺤ ّ َﻤ ٍﺪ وأَﻫ ِﻞ ﺑ ْﻴ ِﺘ ِﻪ‬
ٰ ‫� اﷲ ﻋ‬
ٰ ‫وﺻ‬
May the blessings of Allah be upon wa sal-lal-laho ala
Muhammad and His Family the Holy mohammadin wa ahle
baitehit-tayyebeenat- َ َ َ ُ َ ُ َّ َ َ
‫ّﺎﻫﺮﻳﻦ‬ ِ ‫ﺒﲔ اﻟﻄ‬َ ِ ‫اﻟﻄّ َ ّﻴـ‬
and Pure. tahereena

�‫واﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ � ذُﻧُﻮ‬
O Lord, forgive my sins wagh-firli zonoobi
َ
ْ ْ
�‫� ﻋﻴﻮ‬ ‫ﻋ‬ ‫ﱰ‬ ‫واﺳ‬
and keep my faults concealed wastoor ' alayya oyoobi
ُ ُ َّ َ ُ
َ َ
and extend to me Your special waftah-lee min ladoonka ً
‫واﺳﻌﺎ‬
ً ْ
‫ﻗﺎ‬‫ز‬‫ر‬ ‫و‬ ً �ْ ‫ﻦ � ْﻧﻚ ر‬
‫ﺔ‬ ْ ‫واﻓْﺘ ْﺢ � ﻣ‬
mercy and bounteous sustenance rahmatan wa rizqan wase’an ِ ِ َ َ َ َ ُ َ ِ َ َ
O the All-merciful! ya ar-hamar-rahemeena
‫ﲔ‬ �‫ا‬ ِ ‫اﻟﺮ‬ ‫ﻢ‬ ‫ﺣ‬ ‫ر‬ ْ ‫ﻳﺎ أ‬
َ ّ َ َ َ
ْ ْ ْ
‫ﻤﲔ‬ ‫ﻌﺎﻟ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ِ ‫ب‬ ّ َ ِ ُ ‫َواﻟ َﺤ‬
‫ر‬ ‫ﷲ‬ ‫ﺪ‬ ‫ﻤ‬
All praise is due to Allah the wal-hamdo lil-lahe rabbil'
Cherisher and sustainer of all the alameena َ َ
worlds
ْ ْ
‫ﻛﻴﻞ‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫وﺣ ْﺴﺒﻨَﺎ اﷲ وﻧ ِﻌﻢ اﻟ‬
And Allah is sufficient for us and was hasbonal-laho wa
most excellent is the Protector. ne'mal-wakeelo ُ َ َ َُ ُ َ َ
ْ ْ ْ ‫وﻻ ﺣ‬
�‫ﻈ‬‫ﻌ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ِ � ‫ﻌ‬ ‫اﻟ‬ ‫ﷲ‬‫ﺎ‬ ‫ﺑ‬ ‫ﻻ‬ ‫إ‬ ‫ة‬ ‫ﻮ‬ ‫ﻗ‬ ‫ﻻ‬‫و‬ ‫ل‬ ‫ﻮ‬
There is neither might nor power wa la howla wa la qoowata
ِ ِ ِ ّ ِ َ َّ ُ
but with Allah the Great, the illa billahil ali-yil' azim ِ َ ّ َ َ َ َ َ
