Tolerance Role Play

Tolerance. Being the National Agenda of the UAE, the TWS tolerance council had organised
a ‘Street Play’ for the students of TWS on tolerance on the 13th of April, 2017. The main
objective was to raise the awareness amongst the students, not just through media and
posters, but also through visual awareness.
The street play was held at the girls’ basketball court during the school break time (10:00
am to 10:30 pm) where students from several year levels had gathered around to look at
what was known as the very first ‘Street Play’ held in TWS. What better way to spread the
awareness?
The play consisted of 3 segments, accompanied by some inspiring posters created by the
participants of the occasion. Having our most honoured guests to spectate the play, they
had enjoyed watching the student-led play which focused on the several aspects of
tolerance and the daily incidences that displays a lack of tolerance, right within the walls of
our very classrooms. In attempts to do so, the play had been successful at the end of the
day with the team feeling proud to have spread awareness in a small yet effective way. As
they say, small changes leads to a significant impact!
