As I observed on a Fast Learner section in Grade 1, their teacher Mrs. Bella A. Austria is a full packaged
teacher. As a Master Teacher in Padre Burgos Central School she possesses almost all the positive
attributes. She possesses competent, responsibility, honesty, resourcefulness caring and dedicated
teacher. She always shows respect and enthusiasm in her daily teaching experience.

I did not have opportunity to observe the teacher of being reflective on her teaching since she has a lot
work to do being one of the highly rank teachers. She organizes many events but she can still manage
her instructional time in her classroom.

I need not be experts in my field by possessing knowledge which is somehow important. As a teacher I
must continue building my understandings of my subjects throughout my career.

I also expected to have much patience with individuals whose lack of discipline, immaturity, or indolence
interrupts the work of my students. I need patience with students who are trying to learn, however, are
part and parcel of the teaching profession.

I also need to be confident in my own abilities to sense where students are in the learning process and in
their students’ abilities to learn material that is presented in a logical and graduated fashion.

I need to be aware of everything that happens in my classrooms and in adjacent hallways. Teachers who
are awake are able to stop nonsense before it starts and keep students on track.

I will keep maintaining good community relations as part of being a teacher, and teachers’ contact with
parents, administrators, and community leaders enhances their effectiveness in the classroom.

I will keep the burning passion and enthusiasm my profession. I might become temporarily burdened by
administrative hassles or an isolated problem, but my engagement with my work is unwavering. Students
should feel my energy, and I will project it are much more successful than those who do not.

The seasoned teacher for 15 years adheres to perennials as a school of thought, she strongly believes on
the statements given as a Perennials teacher.

Based from the given data, I myself, the new teacher for 3 years and the seasoned teacher for 25 years
seemingly have strong tendency to be a believer of idealism.

The seasoned teacher for 15 years have strong tendency to be a believer of realism.

Based from the given data, all of us seemingly have strong tendency to be a believer of experimentalism.
I am and the new teacher strongly agrees on existentialism whereas the seasoned teacher also agrees
not that much as we do but I can say that we are all believers of existentialism.

Idealism, experimentalism and existentialism are the philosophical agreements we shared among the
given philosophy. We all believe that schools sharpen the mind and teachers are models of behavior.
We also believe that school exists to aid student to know their place in the society and teachers assist
them in their personal journey.

We have different opinion on the views of believing in realism and perennials experimentalism. I and the
new teacher agreed on experimentalism but the seasoned teacher alone agreed to perrenialsm and
idealism statement. This shows that the seasoned teacher is still inclined on the traditional philosophy
but they are starting to gear up with some conventional modern way of teaching.

Time frames for each subject area in the lower are usually devoted to reading and language and learning
the basic skills. For about 50 minutes each learning subject was given exact time and before shifting to
another subject, the teacher set the mood first of the students. She ask them to sing a song or do an
action song that helps her to catch their attention and at the same time the student lessen the wariness
as the subject shifted and stay dynamic still.

The instructional time in the upper grade is somehow the same as lower grade but since they are
departmentalized, a certain number of minutes per day or week is scheduled usually by discretion of the
school to special teachers to teach art, music, or physical education, or to each teacher or team of
teachers for scheduling science, social studies, and health.

The teacher in the lower grade ensures that all students in her class feel safe and cared for. She spends
time each day with every student, having a mini conversation and asking them a question, to build a
strong relationship and show them how much she cares for them. She has strong relationship with her
students built on trust and care; they feel comfortable around her and are able to approach her when
they have concerns or problems. She always wanted her students to know that she care for them and
respect them, and display this through teaching and valuing their relationship.

The teacher in the higher grade has a classroom that is mutually respectful. Her students need to
understand when they need to be quiet and when they need to collaborate with others. They need to
know that some students have different learning styles and need to be respectful towards them. She
work together with the class develops a list of classroom guidelines. When students are a part of the
process of creating these, they take more ownership in following them. Additionally, she has able to
evaluate where they made a mistake and offer their own consequence.

In the lower grade, teacher clearly posts her expectations and verbalizing them over and over again. Her
classroom routines were established for many activities, including entering the classroom in the
morning, transitioning between activities and preparing to leave the classroom.

The upper grade teacher discusses with students the importance of their routine. During this discussion,
she talks about the rationale behind various routines. She also invites students to create procedures
with her. This procedure nurtures a sense of ownership and community in your classroom.

The lower grade teacher gives her students opportunities to plan and organize, monitor their own work,
direct their own learning, and to self-reflect along the way. She provides her students with time and
space to be aware of their own knowledge and their own thinking, student ownership increases.

The upper grade teacher frequently facilitates entire class discussion. She allows her students to learn
from each other. She also provides whole-group feedback on patterns she saw in the collective class'
growth and areas of need. She gives opportunities to provide feedback for her so that she can adjust the
learning process, materials, and instruction accordingly.

The lower grade teacher has no easy task on managing the behavior of the lower grade class. She
develops her own form of discipline. She feel her student valued and welcomed. They let
them know that she has an honest interest in each one of them, not only as a class, but
also as individuals.

The upper grade teacher never put off discipline. She handled any behavioral problem when it
occurs. She makes sure students understand the rules and the consequences. Students need
to know how to behave in any given situation. With some students, she let them do role-
playing at the beginning of the school year. In this way, students will see what is expected
of them and see the consequences being applied.

In the lower grade teacher offers learning-centered ways to maximize entire-class instruction by
creating energizing, engaging teaching that everyone find useful. She presents wise, purposeful ideas for
using language, modeling skills and techniques, and establishing community when teaching everyone at
once.
The upper grade teacher relate to the whole class by presenting instruction to the whole class
that are attractive and motivated by using different strategies. Whole-class strategies generally require
less preparation time and instruction time. Typical whole-class strategies include lecture, discussion,
debate, teacher demonstrations, and giving directions.

Houses in Padre Burgos town are semi - concrete and some of them are well furnish. The neighborhood
was simple but the people around it are happy with the simple lives. I also observe that many people are
by standing near the school and they chitchat for a long time, I think they are not too busy in their daily
lives.

Businesses are good there are many stores providing food and basic commodities. Their products are
cheap especially the foods, there are student meals and affordable healthy foods near the school.

Barber shop and computer shop was the shops I’ve seen. The computer shop was well patronized by the
community as well as the barbershop.

The municipal building is distant from the school. It is located in the top and higher point of the town. So
when you go there you need to ride trike or walk with a deep breath after.

The community center was near the municipal building. Although there is not much facilities and
equipment to use there is a doctor schedule every second day as well as dentist. But there are so many
midwives whom are available every day for their purposes.

The church is near the school. There is also a catholic school beside it. So when you going to the school
you need to pass by the sideways of the church, feeling so godly.

Grade 1 Mom

She has grade 1 daughter in Fast Learner section. Their house is nearby the school and she tends to
bring foods for her daughter everyday. She also go along her child in the school then she left her when
the instructional time started.

Food Vendor

He is selling healthy foods like kwekwek. He has been doing the business for about five years. He has 2
girls studying in the elementary and one boy in high school. His business is the primary source of income
since his wife is housewife.

Barber

The barbershops near the school have 2 barbers. One of them told me that the business is good and
they survive in their daily living through cutting of hair. He does not have a wife but he has a son that is
going to go to school by next school year.

Basketball player
There is this guys who plays basketball in the nearby court beside the school. He said that he stop
schooling for senior high due to financial problem. But he goes to go back to the school when his
Mayor’s scholarship program granted.

Store owner

She just started her business near the school few years ago. She has 2 stores the other one is just
walking distance. She closes the store near the school when she knew that the instructional time started
since she knew that nobody will buy because students are not allowed to go outside the school.

Padre Burgos Community was consisted of mostly Christian people. A large number was Roman Catholic,
some of them were Iglesia ni Cristo and others are Born Again Christian. Based on the statistic most of
the populace was high school graduate and there is number whom college level and some are college
graduate from PUP Unisan, LSPC Lucban and other college in Lucena City. With regards to their
occupation, many of them work in other places, some built small business, others work abroad but large
number is waiting for their hiring in the municipality of Padre Burgos.

The community needs assistance on their employment. The local government unit must provide job
hiring in the people in their community. Many people are just stand by and they did not make their self-
productive. The government must render a seminar on how these people can make their own living such
as food processing and other small business.
This school can be a means of help in the community by encouraging the teachers to have an extension
program and organize and conduct a seminar about some small business and additional income
opportunities.

My favorite teachers help me become a professional by sharing with me some of important facts in
becoming a teacher. She told me that I should make learning engaging and valued. I should create and
maintain safe, inclusive and challenging learning environments and implement fair and equitable
behavior management plans and I should use sophisticated communication techniques.

I should have a repertoire of effective teaching strategies and use them to implement well-designed
teaching programs and lessons. I should regularly evaluate all aspects of my teaching practice to ensure
they are meeting the learning needs of my students. I should interpret and use student assessment data
to diagnose barriers to learning and to challenge my students to improve their performance.
