WELCOME TO TAI

CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
The unprecedented economic development compiled with the growth of information and technology has placed responsibility of
nurturing and shaping the future of our country on us. Real education is "the one which draws out the best in a child". This dictum
is the guiding principle of education and keeping this in heart and mind Templeton Academy International was launched in
Naukuchiatal (Nainital) in 2004 and pertaining to the quality being provided here, it has been on the path of progress ever since.
At Templeton Academy International, we discharge the responsibility of shaping the citizens for tomorrow by providing
professional expertise and support and dissemination of tested innovations, curriculum and materials and provide invigorating
atmosphere of learning. We take utmost care to develop our children into responsible citizens having humane attitude,
bestowed with tolerant behaviour combined with civic sense, infused with a sense of pride for their motherland and endowed
with an ignited mind with deep faith in morality, values and ethics. At Templeton Academy International education is no longer
confined to the teaching three R's - Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. It is the three H's - Head, Heart and Hand which have
surpassed the three R's. The School imparts education to develop these H's through Intellectual, Moral, Physical and Vocational
aspects. Hence Oratory, Dramatics, Declamations and Sports all have been intricately interwoven in the curriculum thereby
polishing the holistic personality of students. I wish to remind that "Success is never ending" and extend my heartfelt wishes to
all associated with us.

TAI VISION
Deciding about education is among one of the most important life decisions we all make. As
parents, we have a vision of what life has to offer. So we place these most significant years
into the hands of those who will nurture, train and develop young minds, believing that this
is the best way for our vision to become a reality.
We see individuals of different countries, cultures, faith, and creeds living, growing, and
learning together. We see them serving the world, sharing their attitude, skills and
knowledge, at ease in any situation and in any company.
At Templeton we believe, that the years spent at our campus will empower an individual
with the Knowledge, Skills & Attitude enabling them to be a true Global Future Leader.
6
TAI MISSION
The new millennium has ushered in by a dramatic technological revolution. We now live in an increasingly diverse, globalized, and
complex, media-saturated society. According to Dr. Douglas Kellner at UCLA this technological revolution will have a greater
impact on society than the transition from an oral to a print culture.
Today's kindergarteners will be retiring in the year 2080. We have no idea of what the world will look in five years, much less 60
years, yet we are charged with preparing our students for life in that world. Our students are facing many emerging issues such as
global warming, famine, poverty, health issues, a global population explosion and other environmental and social issues. These
issues lead to a need for students to be able to communicate, function and create change personally, socially, economically and
politically on local, national and global levels. Even kindergarten children can make a difference in the world by participating in
real-life, real-world service learning projects. You're never too young, or too old, to make your voice heard and create change that
makes the world a better place.
Emerging technologies and resulting globalization also provide unlimited possibilities for exciting new discoveries and
developments such as new forms of energy, medical advances, restoration of environmentally ravaged areas, communications,
and exploration into space and into the depths of the oceans. The possibilities are unlimited. At Templeton Academy
International we recognize the critical need for developing these 21st century skills.

TAI AT A GLANCE

We build a community of learning!
9
WHAT MAKES TAI DIFFERENT ?
The TAI pedagogy differs from the conventional educational approach in several important ways:-
It is child centric
Individualized learning is the key
Learning is achieved through direct experience and active involvement
Students learn at their own pace
Self direction is encouraged
Project Based Learning
Synchronized Study Program
Progressive Curriculum
Expeditionary Approach to Learning
TAI program takes into account that each child develops at his or her own pace. New tasks are introduced at the right moment of
readiness. Children form a habit of being successful one step at a time, building a firm foundation for continued enthusiasm and
lifelong quest of knowledge. Once on their way they cannot be stopped as they first explore their immediate surroundings and
then the universe. Offering a wide range of co-curricular activities for the whole brain exercise, the purpose, the aim and the drive
at TAI is to equip the child with the core subject knowledge and the most excellent technological proficiency so that he may
10
function with clarity and efficiency in the modern world.

SYNCHRONISED STUDY PROGRAM
Synchronized study of CBSE Boards + AIEEE +AIPMT+CA/CPT+NTSE +SAT+IELTS+TOEFL+ +IIHM+Olympiads + Other Competitive Entrance Exams etc.The goal
of the program is to help students score high marks in X & XII Boards and a good rank in the various competitive exams for undergraduate program at premier

21
SPECIFIC ADVANTAGES OF
BOARDING SCHOOL
Our challenge is to encourage, connect, and foster learning throughout a child's
day. We help children make sense of all the information and experiences in their
lives? We ensure that all children have opportunities to reach their full potential in a
competitive world where thinking skills are the most important asset of a society?
We extend the learning throughout the day for all children by collaborating with the
steering committee, parents, students and community members to work toward
designing programs to meet these needs. They are: internships, various clubs such
as astronomy, photography, gardening, writing, bicycle building, computer repairs,
the arts, sports, culinary arts, creating student-run businesses
(entrepreneurships), woodwork, renewable energy, telescope assembling, waste
management and many more.
