Foundation

Type of Foundation : Bore Pile

Raft Foundation
Soil Condition : Clay Silt

Reason :

“The condition of soil is very easy to be change. The soil will be cracked if
exposed by heat and it will be sliding if poured by rain. So it will be hard to find
the hard soil. That’s why bore pile and raft foundation was decided for this
project“

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

Advantage and Disadvantage
Bore Pile

• Advantage
1. Less vibrations, so recommended to preserve the safety of the
adjoining structure.
2. Could be use for poor soil condition

• Disadvantage
1. Installation of cast-in-situ piles requires careful supervision
2. The method is quite cumbersome if compared with concrete spun
pile.

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

Advantage and Disadvantage
Raft Foundation

• Advantage
1. Increase the efficiency of progress
2. It can cope with mixed or poor ground condition.
3. It reduces differential settlement.

• Disadvantage
1. Mat foundation requires specific treatment for point loads.
2. Crack occurs if not treated properly.

RETAINING WALL

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

RETAINING WALL

Retaining walls are relatively rigid walls used for

supporting the soil mass laterally so that the soil can
be retained at different levels on the two sides.

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

SOLIDER PILE

Soldier pile is used as a retaining

structural system that support
excavation work to prevent it from
collapsing.
On this project, soldier pile are used
at the west side of the project
because there is an existing building
next to it.

station according to shopdrawing and
measured from nearest benchmark
(BM)

• Coloumn reinforcement
Installation
After coloumn reinforcement steel arranged
in the workshop, it will be installed to the
detereminated place with TC help. Then it will
be tied with

• Sepatu kolom Installation

Used for coloumn marking position and
formwork temporary holder

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

Formwork Installation

• Formwork Installation Hollow frame

After sepatu coloumn is fixed to its position, the
formwork will be placed to the position which have
been marked by the sepatu kolom then tied the
formwork with T rod and adjust the vertivicality of
formwork with pushprop

installation

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

Framework panel and scaffolding installation

• Uitzet Survey purpose is to determine the coordinate of beam according to shopdrawing

• Framework panel installation purpose is to shape the beam based on dimension of the
design
• Scaffolding installation purpose is to support the structure until the strength of the
structure has complied.

Clearance and Concrete Casting

• Casted area are cleared by air compressor tool

• Pouring concrete into the casted area then the concrete are compacted by vibrator

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

Curing and Formwork dismantling

• Casted area are cleared by air compressor tool

• After the strength of concrete are complied , dismantling the formwork of the beam

NEED MORE TIME TO PRECISE THE

EFFICIENCY AND QUALITY
CUTTING

CHEAPER EXPENSIVE BUT EFFECTIVE

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

BIM SOFTWARE TO CALCULATE REBAR QUANTITY

USING USUAL PROGRAM (ex. MS EXCELL)

• USING SOME PROGRAM (EXCELL, WORD, AUTOCAD)
• NEED MORE TIME TO FIX THE FALSE CALCULATION

USING BIM SOFTWARE (REVIT)

• ONLY USING ONE PROGRAM
• EFFICIENCY
• THE COST OF BUYING THE SOFTWARE IS EXPENSIVE
• REDUCE DIRECT SCHEDULE
• INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY
• REDUCE DIRECT COST

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

BIM SOFTWARE TO COORDINATE WITH THE PLANNER

USING DIRECT COORDINATION

• SPENT MORE COST FOR TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUNICATION
• NEED MORE TIME TO CALL THE PLANNER AND TO EPLAIN THE
CHANGE ORDER

USING BIM SOFTWARE (REVIT)

• ONLY USING ONE PROGRAM TO ADMIT THE CHANGE ORDER EVEN
FROM LONG DISTANCE
• EFFICIENCY
• THE COST OF BUYING THE SOFTWARE IS EXPENSIVE BUT COULD BE
USE FOR FORWARD PROJECT

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

FINAL CAD FOR MONITORING WORKS

USING DIRECT COORDINATION

• SPENT MORE COST FOR TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUNICATION
• NEED MORE TIME TO CALL THE PLANNER AND TO EXPLAIN THE CHANGE
ORDER

USING FINAL CAD

• GOOD MANAGEMENT (STRUCTURE, ARCHITECTURAL, MECHANICAL AND
PLUMBING
• EASY TO CONTROL QUALITY AND TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER CO-
WORKERS BY USING SMARTPHONE
• CENTRALIZE THE WORKSHEET AND THE INVENTORY

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

HALF SLAB METHOD

USING CONVENTIONAL SLAB USING HALF SLAB

• SPENT MORE COST FOR FORMWORK • FAST INSTALATION
• NEED MORE TIME TO INSTAL FORMWORK • ACT AS PERMANENT FORMWORK, REDUCE
ERECTING AND FORMWORK STRIKING TIME
• SIZE CAN BE EASILY CUSTOMIZED TO SUIT
STRUCTURAL AND ARCHITECTURAL
REQUIREMENTS.

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

FORMWORK USING PCH SYSTEM

USING CONVENTIONAL FORMWORK USING PCH SYSTEM

FAST INSTALATION
LESS WORKERS
TOUGH MATERIAL ( QUALITY AND LOAD CAPACITY)
SPENT MORE COST FLEXIBLE USE FOR HIGH RISE BUILDING (COULD REACH
5M HIGH)
NEED MORE TIME TO INSTAL FORMWORK
WITHOUT USING FRAME FOR BEAM FORMWORK

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII

FORMWORK USING MEVA

USING CONVENTIONAL FORMWORK USING MEIVA

• SPENT MORE COST • FLEXIBLE HEIGHTS, WIDTHS AMD FORMING METHOD
• NEED MORE TIME TO INSTAL FORMWORK • LESS SPACE NEEDED BECAUSE THE PANELS COULD BE
• NEED MORE SPACE TO INSTAL AND REPLACE STRIPPED AND LOWERED BY 19 CM

GROUP 1 - OPB PT. PP XXXVII
