ACSCU-AAI invites
GJC to apply for Lvl 4

General de Jesus College was given Accreditation Level III once again by the Association of
Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities – Accrediting Agency Incorporated (ACSCU-AAI) from
April 2017 to April 20, 2022.
Last March 6 - 10, the accreditors visited the school’s facilities, observed classes, interviewed
faculty, staff, administrators, student leaders, parents, and alumni, and visited and interviewed GJC’s
adopted community in their five-day accreditation period.
Aside from its Level III Accreditation, General de Jesus College was also recognized as one of the
top performing accredited high schools.
The school is reaccredited every five years to assure quality education that is above the required
level by the DepEd.
GJCians bagged awards in the 1st NEPRISSAA Senior High School Talent Fair Division Level
held at the Dr. Gloria D. Lacson Foundation Colleges last October 12.
The students of GJC showcased their talents in two different categories, Radio Drama and
Modern Dance where 13 different schools competed for the title.
Members of GJC Dance Troupe, consisting of Vil Daril Santos, Mark Jimwell Cruz, John Rhay
Bundalian, John Paulo Eleazar, James Cucio, Cholo Cortez, Patricia Usita, Janine Fatima Bodegas,
Anna Joy Francisco, and Ma. Theresa Ortiz, emerged as champions in the modern dance competition.
The radio drama team which includes Maica Cruz, Bea Taberna, Hana Joy Castro, Jayson Garcia,
Melor Isles, Christian De Guzman, Ron Joseph Samonte, and Allen Sebastian won 1st runner-up in
the said category.
With only two entries, GJC ranked 3rd in the overall ranking in the said competition. The Talent Fair
also featured Dance Sports and Folk Dance Competition.

in CD-IV Sports Fest

In the spirit of good fellowship and sportsmanship, General de Jesus College earned the 2nd place
in the CD-IV Nueva Ecija Private Secondary Schools Administrators Association (NEPRISSAA) annual
Sports Festival held at GJC and Blessed Children Integrated School (BCIS) last August 23 and
September 8.
The program started with the opening parade of varsity players from different schools who
cheered and represented their teams followed by the lighting of torch.
After the battle, here are the winners for the different categories in the competition;
For Badminton, and Chess competition, Ralph Delos Reyes (Single B, Rome Arc Philippe Magno
and Roel Francis Yambot (Doubles), Joanne Lagat (Single A), Aldrich Tolentino (Board 2), Cyanna
Joane Trinidad (Board 1), and Angelica Flores (Board 2) emerged as champions.
For Scrabble, Nicole Angelique Pangilinan with Frans Angeline Yakit won the championship
title.
For Table Tennis, 1st runner-up, Kyle Elijah Dela Cruz (Single B).
Lucy Jane Gadaingan and Jordan Neil Sta. Maria gained 2nd runner-up in Word Factory.
For Basketball, Jay Amurao, Junjun Franco, Janell Abanilla, Alex Mandap, Joshua Cabanella,
Lester de Guzman, Louie Lorenzo, Alonzo Francisco, Jonathan Espinoza, Von Binuya, Lharsen
Miranda and John Adrian Santos won third place. The volleyball team of boys defeated San Antonio
High School and grabbed the third place. Players were Ryan Angelo Castro, Alfrancis Jose, Ivan
Castro, Mark Allyson Ortiz, Leo Tecson, Kim Arthur Cruz, Joshua Junia, Dann Gascon, Ivan Vijar,
Dave Yanga, Yvan Magno, and Pojek Salvador.
The winners will be competing in the division level of the competition.

athletes to compete
in CLRAA 2018

GJCians bagged medals in the Nueva Ecija Athletic Association (NECAA) and claimed a berth in
the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association Meet (CLRAA) last November 9-10.
The GJC Badminton Team dominated the NECAA as Joanne Lagat (Single B, Champion),
Margarita Pineda and Marjorie Peralta (Doubles, Champion) and Rome Arc Philippe Magno and
Roel Yambot (Doubles, 3rd runner-up) battled with their opponents at Power Smash, Cabanatuan
City.
Meanwhile, Richard Ian Ramos won 2nd place in the chess category held at Palayan Central
School and Lian Crystal Gregorio grabbed 2 bronze medals in swimming.
Lagat, Peralta, Pineda, and Ramos will advance to the CLRAA to be held in Malolos, Bulacan in
February 2018.

The GJC Badminton team ruled the Sportsfest as Ralph Dheiniel Delos Reyes (Single B,
Champion), Rome Arc Philippe Magno and Roel Yambot (Doubles, Champions), and Joanne Lagat
(Single A, Champion) battled with their formidable opponents.
Meanwhile, Angelica Flores won 2nd runner-up in the chess category.
