Market direction - Uptrend

 When the market is in a downtrend, look for at least one of the major indexes (S&P 500, Nasdaq
or Dow) to hit a new price low.
 After hitting low look for a day then index closes higher (attempted rally)
 The index should make a big one-day price again typically 1.5% or higher. Volume heavier than
previous day (Follow-Through day)

Market direction – Downtrend

 Major index closes down at least 0.2% on volume heavier than the day before (distribution day)
 6 distribution days within 4 or 5 week period
