Announcement made by the Hon'ble Chief Minister on 29.12.2017.

ORDER :

The Hon'ble Chief Minister has announced that Pongal Gift Hamper
comprising 1 kg of raw rice, 1 kg of sugar/ a 2 feet long piece of Sugarcane/
cashew, kismis and cardamom will be distributed to all rice option card
holders including Police card holders and Sri Lankan Tamils living in camps
(total 1.84 crore cards), through fair price shops,

2. The expenditure towards distribution of Pongal Gift to the above

card holders works out as follows:-
