The DECA meeting agenda covered the following:

2. Student event choices have been made for Region Conference. Be sure to know what your event involves. a. For example, Principles Events you should be studying a practice exam and practice event. b. You should set a timer for 25 minutes to read the case and put your notes for the judge, which you will present this information to 25-30 minutes after receiving it. c. Present it to one of the DECA sponsors. d. Get another practice test and case from one of the DECA Sponsors and do the same thing until you take your test and present to the judge at Region Conference. 3. Important Dates- a. Region Conference- February 7th @ WKU i. Professional Dress- see flyer ii. Be prepared for your event (some test before the conference and some test at the conference). Be sure you follow instructions for your event (i.e. restrictions, requirements) iii. Parent Permission Form filled out, signed by parent and returned by this Friday to Mr. Schneider. iv. Be on time- Meet in Mr. Shourds' room @ 7:20. We will take a picture down by the bus dock @ 7:40 and get on the bus. v. Money to eat- bring $15-20 for meals, snacks b. SCDC- State Conference @ The Galt House (140 N. 4th Street)- Sunday March 4-6th (arrive @ the Galt House East- building on the right as you drive toward hotel- @ 5:15) i. More information to come later c. ICDC- DECA International Conference in Atlanta- April 21-24 (would leave April 20th and return April 25th) i. You must place in the top three in your events @ SCDC or register in a Leadership Conference. ii. More information to come later d. Assign students to an advisor for guidance- all Advisors can give feedback 4. Next DECA Meeting- Wednesday, January 31st a. Principles Events, Team Decision Making Events, Professional Selling Events all test online in Mr. Schneider's room before the Region Conference i. See Mr. Schneider for details on testing b. Individual Series Events test @ Region Conference.
