-ly -ness -est -ing -ed -er.

Math: Within Unit 5 we will: represent two digit numbers using concrete objects, place
value cards, and drawings; use reasoning to mentally find 10 more or 10 less; adding or
subtracting multiples of 10

Social Studies/Science: Geography

Other news:

● Valentines Day: Valentines day is next week Wednesday. For Valentines day, please
have your student bring in a decorated box to receive valentines in and 24 valentines
to pass out. Their valentines only need their name on them, not the person they are
for. This helps with the passing out process.
● Star of the Day: The star of the day will bring in a favorite bedtime book. The book
that always needs to be read before they can go to bed...you know the one ;)
● NGFA Carnival: First grade is collecting for the following theme baskets:
Lego- ( Lego sets, Lego books, Lego stickers)
Baking with kids (Cookie, brownie, cake mixes, cookie cutters, baking supplies)
**Donations are accepted until Wednesday, February 7**
● Anchored in Excellence: You may have noticed that some of your kiddos have come
home with an anchor stamp on their hand. This is a way for you to celebrate and
recognize your student at home for outstanding behavior! Keep your eyes open for
when your child comes home with the anchor stamp and pour on the praise! Thank
you for supporting positive behavior at school!
