Islam

More than one billion people in the World follow Islam, worship Allah (the Arabic word for 'God'),
believe in angels, and consider Muhammad as the most recent prophet. These are only a few of the
beliefs set by the religion that is disciplined and strict in its rules and customs. The Five Pillars guide

Islam Beliefs

The core of Islamic theology is the belief that there is only one God, also called Allah in Arabic.
Visualizations of God are not expected but Muslims must worship God as the Protector, which is the
purpose of life. Muslims do not believe that Jesus was the son of God and do not agree with other facets
of Christianity. Muslims have six main beliefs with Allah as the most important one.

Belief in Angels

Muslims believe that angels are messengers who do not have free will. It is their duty to communicate
revelations from God, glorify God, record the actions of every Muslim person and take an individual's
soul at the time of his death.

Books of Islam

The holy books of Islam are records of Gods words meant for his prophets. The Qu'ran is the last holy
book and is believed to be the literal word of God. The Archangel Gabriel is believed to have revealed
the word of God to Muhammad. The foundation of the Qu'ran is centered on moral guidance, or the
principles and values that Muslims must follow.

Prophets

The prophets of Islam are those people who have been chosen by God to be His messengers. Although
human, some prophets have been believed to have performed miracles. The main duty of prophets has
0been to preach the message of Islam, which is submission to God. The last prophet is believed to be
Muhammad.

Judgment Day

Muslims believe in the Day of Resurrection and Judgment. Sins are described in the Qu'ran, including
disbelief and dishonesty. Those who commit these sins are condemned to hell. Paradise is central to this
belief in that it is a joyful place with several pleasures to be enjoyed.

Christianity

With well over two billion followers throughout the world, Christianity is an Abrahamic religion centered
on God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. One of the big issues surrounding Christianity is that some
people question the existence of the Trinity. The history of Christianity, starting in the 1st century and
continuing on to present day, is incredibly long and complex.
The Holy Trinity is an important part of Christian doctrine that states that there is only one God, but that
God can be divided into three divine individuals: The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit The Holy Trinity
of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is considered to be one of the central doctrines of the Christian
faith.,

Judaism

Over twelve million people in the world follow Judaism and regard the Torah as the most important holy
book of Judaism. Jews believe they are the chosen people of God and consider Abraham and Moses as
the founder. The laws of God guide Jews throughout their lives and followers of this religion spend a lot
of their time praying.

Judaism believes in only one God, the creator of the universe.

The Torah and Oral Laws

Jewish beliefs, law and tradition are based on the Torah, which is also known as the Five Books of
Moses. The Torah contains 613 commandments according to the rabbinic tradition. The laws are divided
for men, women, priestly groups, and even farmers. While the Torah has been the main written text for
Jews, most Jewish people believe in the Oral Law, which have been documented and further taught by
rabbis. The Torah, or the written law, cannot be studied without the reader being familiar with the oral
law. The Jewish way of life is called Halakha and is based on the unity of oral and written tradition.

Hinduism

Hinduism is among the oldest religions of the world. It has more than 900 million followers, with around
80 percent of the Indian population claiming to be Hindu. Hinduism does not follow a single doctrine or
teacher, but recognizes one God and eternal soul called Brahman. The different types of Hinduism
recognize different deities.

In the religion of Hinduism, there are many facets of beliefs which vary from group to group.Hindus
believe that everyone was born in set Varnas, or societal classifications. These are the the Kshatriyas,
the Vaishyas, and the Shudras. Though the caste system is not as rigidly adhered to in this modern era,
understanding Varnas is an important aspect to Hinduism.

There are specific branches of the Hinduism in which include Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Shaktism .

Jainism

Jainism religion does not depend on gods, but on the self. Therefore, Jainism is known as a self-help
religion. There are two major divisions of Jains: the Digambara and the Svetambara There are about 4.2
million followers of Jainism in the world, mostly in India.

Jainism Beliefs
Jainism is interested in the well-being of the universe and mankind. According to Jainism humans,
animals, and plants have souls that are equal and should be respected.The three jewels or important
beliefs of Jainism are: right belief, right conduct, and right knowledge.. The religious officials of Jainism
are nuns and monks who lead disciplined lives.

Zoroastrianism

Zoroastrianism is among the oldest religions of the world. Zoroastrians as fire worshippers. According to
Zoroastrianism, there is one God called Ahura Mazda, or Wise Lord..

History of Zoroastrianism

Zoroastrianism was founded in Persia (ancient Iran) around 3500 years ago by the prophet Zoroaster, or
Zarathustra. Zoroaster was born into a polytheistic religion Zoroastrianism Beliefs

At the center of Zoroastrianism is God or Ahura Mazda, the creator of the world. Some religions,
like Christianity, refer to mankind as God's children; in Zoroastrianism, however, humans are God's
helpers.. Zoroastrianism believes in the family and community. It does not believe in celibacy.. The holy
book of Zoroastrianism is The Avesta, which contains the Gathas, or the seventeen hymns by Zoroaster,
and the The Younger Avesta, which includes commentaries, myths, ritual descriptions, and more.

Buddhism

Buddhism has been practiced primarily in Southeast Asia and other parts of Asia including China, India
and Japan

Buddhism is based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama who was born into a royal family around
580 BC in modern-day Nepal.

Buddhism does not focus on worshipping god(s), but is rather based on teaching the dharma, or the
truth about things in nature and the universe. Buddhism branches is Dukkha, Trsna , Nirvana , and the
Eightfold Path.

Buddhism also teaches the principles of karma, according to which our current lives reflect our past
dealings, Buddhism is a peaceful religion that is against war and killing.

Mongolism religion

Shinto is an ancient Japanese religion that is based on spiritual beings called kami. Most people in Japan
follow both Shinto and Buddhism. For followers of Shinto, Buddha is a kami.

Shinto Gods

Shinto, or the Way of Gods, is a religion practiced by Japanese people throughout the course of
thousands of years. Since Shinto in itself is more like a philosophy, rather than a religion, you can find
deities in many aspects of Japanese life. The gods are in water, in stones, in trees, basically everywhere.

Of course, next to the thousands of minor gods, there are also several major gods in Shinto. Let's talk
about some of the more memorable ones. There are several famous deities, or kami who are worshiped
all over the country.
