 The Power Switch lurns on and ot'f the power for the
camera. With the switch on, the camera will become
ready for shooting in about 2.5 seconds.

Turn on the Power Switch In about 2.5 seconds,you

lf you are not taking pictures,be sure to turn off

 lf you use DX-coded film, the camera will
automatically set its film speed. lt will also advance
the film in position for the first shot when you press
the Shulter ReleaseButton. Alwavs load and unload
film in subdued light.

< Use DX-Coded Film >

The camerawill accept DX-codedfilms with speeds
rangingfrom ISO 50 to ISO 1600 and automatically
set itselffor the sneedof the film loaded in it.
The film speedis printedon the film box.
o lf the camerais loadedwith non-DX film, it will set
itselfautomaticallv for ISO 100.

chargingin about 19 seconds.While the flashis
charging,the FlashChargingIndicator" t " will turn
on in the viewfinderand the shutter releasewill be
locked. Do not pressthe Shutter ReleaseButton
halfwaywhen this signalis on, becausethe flashwill
stop its chargingoperation.
o lf you do not shoot within two minutes after the
flashhas been fully charged,the camerawill
automaticallycut its flash charge to save battery.To
take your flash picture again, pressthe Shutter Release

 When the specified number of exposures is
completed, the camera will automatically wind the film
back into its casselte and come to a slop when
rewinding is ended. All you have to do is take out the
film.

<Take out the Film>

After making sure the ExposureCountershows "1"
when rewindingis ended,open the Back Cover and
take out the film. Send the exposedfllm for processing
as soon as oossible.
r The ExposureCounterreturnsto "S" when the
Back Cover is opened.

To rewind the film before it is entirelyexposed,push
the Film RewindButtonwith a coin.
o Do not turn the Power Switch off while rewinding

When to Replace the Battery
lf the flash takes more than five seconds to recharge
itself, it is time to change the battery. However, the
batterystill has enough power for exposingthree or
four more rolls of film, so it is recommendedto get a
new battery(2CR5) as soon as possible.
o lf you continueto shoot without changingthe
battery,the flash chargingtime will become
increasinglylonger and the Shutter ReleaseButton will
be locked ju$ before the battery is completely
exhausted.

Though its service life depends on the conditions of
use, il will normally last about three or four years. lf
the dating unit does not function properly or the date
display looks faded, replace the ballery as soon as
possible.

becausethe focusingaccuracymay be impaired.
lf it is soiled,wipe off lightly with lens-cleaningtissue
moistenedwith lens cleaningfluid. Remove dust and
dirt with an air blower or lens brush.
o To clean the Auto Lens Barrier and camera body,
wipe them clean with a soft cloth. Never use benzine,
thinner and other organic solvents.
o The lens may be clouded if the camera is carried
insidea warm room from outdoorswhere it is cold.
The cloud will disappearsoon, but it is advisableto
avoid suddentemperalurechangesif possible.
o After using it at the seasideor in a dusty place,
wipe the cameraclean. Salt air will have a corrosive
effecton the camera,and sand and dust will be
harmful to the cameramechanism.
