grants the Buyer a personal, non-transferable, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use any
computer program supplied with the Equipment that is necessary to operate the Equip-
ment solely on the medium in which such program is delivered for the purpose of operat-
ing the equipment in accordance with the instructions set forth in the operator’s manuals
supplied with the Equipment and for no other purpose whatsoever. Buyer may not

Remove and Replace the P93W Black and White Printer 0

Remove the P93W Black and White Printer

1. Power off the system, switch off the MAINS circuit breaker, and leave the power cord
connected to the wall outlet.
2. Disconnect the following cables from the printer: power cord, BNC cable, and the print-
er control cable.
3. Loosen the printer mounting bracket captive screw, slide the mounting bracket out from
the OEM shelf, and lift the printer mounting bracket and printer off the OEM shelf.

Re-install the P93W Black and White Printer

1. Turn the P93W printer upside down and remove the four plastic printer feet by unfas-
tening the screws.
2. Secure the mounting bracket on to the bottom of the P93W using four thumbscrews and
four spring washers.
- To mount the P93W printer with the front of the printer facing the left side of the G20
system, attach the mounting bracket as shown in Figure 1.

WARNING It is required to use the supplied thumb screws.

- To mount the P93W printer with the front of the printer facing the right side of the G20
system, attach the mounting bracket as shown in Figure 2.

3. Place the P93W printer on its feet.

4. Connect the printer power cord between the printer and the accessory outlet of the sys-
tem.
- Connect the AC power cord to the AC inlet of the printer.
- Connect the other end of the cord to the OEM shelf AC outlet.

5. Route the BNC and remote cables down through the hole in OEM shelf and to the I/O
panel on the left side of the system.
6. Connect the BNC and remote cables between the printer and the I/O panel.

7. Set the printer dip switch as follows: 1-on, 2-off, 3-off, 4-off, 5-off, and 6-off.

8. Attach the assembled printer mounting bracket to the OEM shelf.
- Slide the two mounting bracket tabs into the mounting slots.

CAUTION Be careful not to pinch or damage the cables.


¹ Check that the power cable is routed between the printer
and the back of the OEM shelf.

- For the leftward configuration of the printer, route the BNC and remote cables under
the printer.

- Tighten the thumbscrew to secure the bracket to the OEM shelf.

Verify the Operation of the P93W Printer

1. Plug the system AC power cord to the wall outlet.


2. Connect an arbitrary transducer to the system.
3. Switch on the MAINS breaker and press the Standby button to power on the G20 sys-
tem.
4. Confirm that a 2D-image is displayed on the monitor.
5. Press the printer power switch to power on the printer.
6. Press the F6 key; the Preset Main Menu is displayed.
7. Select Customize Keys.
8. In the Print/Store Key selection click B/W Printer.
9. Click Save.
10. Press the Print key and confirm that the 2D-image on the monitor is printed correctly on
the P93W.

Remove and Replace the HS-MD3000 VCR 0

Remove the HS-MD3000 VCR

1. Power off the system, switch off the MAINS power circuit breaker, and leave the power
cord connected to the wall outlet.
2. Disconnect the following cables from the VCR: AC power cable, S-Video In cable,
S-Video Out cable.

3. Remove the VCR mounting bracket assembly from the OEM shelf.
- Loosen the two captive screws that secure the VCR bracket to the OEM shelf.
- Slide the two VCR bracket tabs out from OEM shelf slots and lift the VCR bracket off
from the VCR.
- Lift the VCR off the G20 OEM shelf.

Re-install the HS-MD3000 VCR

1. Turn the HS-MD3000 VCR upside down and remove the four plastic VCR feet by unfas-
tening the screws.
2. Secure the mounting bracket on to the bottom of the HS-MD3000 VCR using four
screws and spring washers remove from the VCR feet.

WARNING It is required to use the supplied thumb screws.

- To mount the HS-MD3000 VCR mounting bracket assembly with the front of the VCR
facing the left side of the G20 system, attach the mounting bracket as shown in Fig-
ure 9.

- To mount the HS-MD3000 VCR mounting bracket assembly with the front of the VCR
facing the right side of the G20 system, attach the mounting bracket as shown in Fig-
ure 10.

3. Place the HS-MD3000 VCR mounting bracket assembly on its feet.
4. Connect the VCR AC power cord between the VCR and the accessory outlet of the sys-
tem.
- Plug the AC power cord into the AC inlet of the VCR.
- Plug the other end of the cord into the OEM AC outlet.

5. Route the S-Video In and S-Video Out cables down through the hole in OEM shelf and
to the I/O panel on the left side of the system.
6. Connect the -Video In and S-Video Out cables between the VCR and the I/O panel.

7. Set the VCR Video and S-Video 75 ohm switches to on.


8. Attach the VCR assembled VCR mounting bracket to the OEM shelf.
- Slide the two mounting bracket tabs into the OEM shelf slots.

CAUTION Be careful not to pinch or damage the cables.


¹ Check that the power cable is routed between the VCR
and the back of the OEM shelf.

- For the leftward configuration of the VCR, route the S- Video In and S-Video Out ca-
bles under the VCR/top cover assembly.
- Tighten the thumbscrew to secure the VCR to the OEM shelf.

Verify the Operation of the HS-MD3000 VCR

1. Plug the system AC power cord to the wall outlet.


2. Connect an arbitrary transducer to the system.
3. Switch on the MAINS breaker and press the Standby button to power on the G20 sys-
tem.
4. Confirm that a 2D-image is displayed on the monitor.
5. Press the VCR power switch to power on the VCR.
6. Insert an S-Video tape into the VCR. Make sure the videotape is fully rewound.
7. Simultaneously press REC and PLAY on the VCR to record the displayed image.
8. Press STOP to stop the recording.
9. Press REW to rewind the videotape.
10. Press Video I/O key on the control panel, and then PLAY on the VCR to review the re-
corded image. Confirm that the recorded image can be reviewed without problems.
